So my boss and I were tinkering with new menu ideas, and one of them was an appetizer of oxtail marmelade with crostinis. We were talking about how to enhance thee crosinis, and decided to toast them in some type of fat. We settled down to bacon fat, duck fat, and rendered parma(a type of proscuitto)fat. I turned to my boss and said "It's a good occupation when the big decision of the day is what type of animal fat you want to use." Sometimes I love my job.

random 1:30am thought... I bet an otherwise unwilling female would be more receptive to the idea of fellatio of men as a gender were in the habit of putting bacon around the tip of our junk.

BRGM, your level of fail continues to amaze me.

The other great thing about bacon is that its AFFORDABLE. Most of us can't go around buying duck fat, feasting on legs of lamb, savoring high-end sushi, and enjoying foie gras regularly - however a pound of cheap bacon is $3, and cheap bacon can still be excellent.

A riddle for all of you:
Why do you need 12 slices of bacon when a recipe calls for 8?
