Tim, I believe you had recommended their previous album from last year, a little while ago.

This is along similar lines...gloomy gothic metal with very "deep", kinda 80s sounding vocals. Interesting mood throughout the record...

I gave the Hammerfall a listen the other day, on a whim. I’ve never liked them, other than the odd song. They’ve always represented everything I can’t stand in power metal. However, I really enjoyed this new album. I was playing Assassins Creed Valhalla at the time - maybe that helped.  :biggrin:

I’m listening to this now. It was my first Maiden album and I think it might be my favorite. Probably that “first love” feeling I have with a lot of albums.
