Windfaerer - Breaths of Elder Dawns: a black metal album with beautiful melodies (and a great use of the violin - played by Ben Karas of Thank You Scientist)
Arđ - Take Up My Bones: Beautiful, doomy album. I guess it needs the right mood, as it's very, um, "mournful". Beautiful stuff, though.
Venator - Echoes from the Gutter: Pretty classic heavy metal - I hear Priest, Maiden, and maybe some W.A.S.P here and there. Lots of energy and overall fun listen.
Eight Bells - Legacy of Ruin: Interesting, "proggy" (in a 70s sense) doom (and more) record from Portland, OR. Not afraid of being heavy, at times.
