My favourite Wildhearts album is The Wildhearts Must Be Destroyed. It was the first album of theirs I heard and it just packed full of hits and hooks. It's quite different from Endless, Nameless though, and not considered as one of their best by the majority of their fan base. I also love Chutzpah! but it's also not considered one of the best  :lol

And I figure both of those are considered better than Endless, Nameless by the fanbase. :lol

Good point, the only way is up then.

I mean, for Wildhearts fans, maybe. I sent Sacul something from that album because it's so different. He's into weird noisy industrial shit, I don't think that'd really translate over to any other of their albums. :P

Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Anyone else check this album out?

Gorthrim-Yggdrasil

Harsh vocals but heavy/groovy as shit.

It's a riff factory along with Iron Maiden guitar lines weaving throughout.

Love the Eddie artwork on the live Maiden! Way back in the day my buddy had a bunch Iron Maiden picture disc vinyls that were really cool. Trooper Ed, Aces High Ed, Powerslave Ed and some others.

There is something so special about those early Sepultura albums. I really love the Max era of the band and also enjoy a lot of his Soulfly output. Cavelera Conspiracy never captured the same magic for me. Aren't they touring playing those early Sep albums at the moment? I'd fucking love to see that if they bring the tour to the UK.

Yeah, Max and Igor are playing BtR and Arise.  I wanted to go, but family and laziness won out over a 70 mile drive.  They sounded great though.

Beneath the Remains and Arise are awesome. Sepultura were a force back then, especially live. The gig I saw on the Arise tour is still one of the best concerts I have ever been to.

Love them both. I actually like Chaos AD too!

Adding some love to Beneath the Remains and Arise. Awesome, awesome albums. Not quite as refined, but I have a soft spot for Schizophrenia too.

Chaos AD is very different, but it's still a pretty great album. And I love Igor's drumming on it.

This might have been discussed in the Maiden thread already, but...other than streaming, is there a way to get a physical copy of this? It's a pretty awesome live...

Igor was/is an absolute beast on the drums. Always one of my favourite drummers. Yes, I also really like Chaos AD.

I just pulled up the full album stream on YouTube.  This is pretty damn good.  I get Strong Amon Amarth vibes through it.  Yeah, Twilight Army is nice, had some old In Flames feels to it.

I listened to the whole thing this afternoon. The vocals are a bit rough, but I was digging the music big time.

But yeah, I'm running through the whole thing too now while I'm at home bludging on work time.  It's a nice pleasant listen.

EDIT:  Haha, A Mothers Tale, wtf are these vocals?!

Blasted this classic on my way into work this morning. Had to message a group of buddies to basically say, 'Is there any better feeling than singing the final part of Chop Suey! as loud as you possibly can, with a group of like minded friends?' I'm not sure there is.

Now onto this...

Absolutely love Toxicity. I had really enjoyed their debut, so I was eagerly waiting for this. I heard Chop Suey! on the radio before the album was released, and I just couldn't believe how good of a single it was. It was everything I loved from the first album, but refined (in the best possible way) and taken to the next level. Still "crazy" and heavy but with even better melodies. One of my favorite moments on the album (and for SOAD, overall) is on Deer Dance, starting around 1:35...beautiful.

I might have to spin this today!  :tup
