Honestly don't think I'll have time to listen to any of these EPs, hell I haven't even finished reading them all, sheesh.
From a Mega Man Legends island jamming power metal to a Walrus listening to black metal, I like your story arc.

No, I wouldn't really call it succinct.  But the total running time is - 54 minutes.  It will definitely take less time to read it than that. ;)

I'm starting concept album listening now.  Faizoff is first.

 Sacul  :(
Thanks

Sacul, buddy, this was heartbreaking:

Our last year was me constantly watching my back, measuring my words, avoid talking a lot of things that triggered you. Wished I had been firm with my own boundaries since the beginning, as you constantly trespassed them, and I was lost on what to do. Hard was seeing you wither, harder was you taking it out on me.

I don't want to hate you. I've always believed in you, I know one day you'll leave behind that awful place you're in, the nasty people that surround you. Just... don't do this to anybody else again, ok?

Some of it resonates with me personally, but I'm actually watching this unfold with someone close to me.  I've been (in so many ways) trying to tell her about the boundary/trespass thing and it hasn't really sunk in yet.
It's very hard for them to fully understand - she had Borderline Personality Disorder and it only got worse since she refused to get therapy. I hope this person close to you gets the help they need, you don't need to bear this.

Here is Ariich's!

The main story for my album is about an oppressed society, with a protagonist who was previously a leader but whose mistakes led to the oppression. It follows him as he struggles with his guilt, and how he ends up rallying the people to rise up again. While that's the direct story, I also see it as a metaphor/allegory for anyone who struggles with guilt and self-doubt over mistakes they have made, and finds it hard to move on.

The Liberator

Spotify link: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2mASqORxDxI7fKNzpW37vC?si=7XF5IMGnTu-Q0B7S-OhcuA

NARRATOR (PROLOGUE)

1. The Human Abstract - Elegiac
(instrumental introduction)

2. Scar Symmetry - Mind Machine
- “Broadcast feelings through machines that make you wither away, death of the soul indoctrinated in false grace.”
- “Bio-machinery, mind and machinery, fear now fuels the system.”

Our story takes place in an oppressed society, ruled by people who had brought technology that they promised would improve the lives of everyone, but in fact they used this technology to manipulate and control the population.

THE LIBERATOR

3. One I Cinema - Insidious
- “There is nothing left of me but this empty shell, how can I do this to myself?”
- “Something is haunting me, I need this to be free, I can’t seem to find the way out...”

Our protagonist once had a duty to look after his people, but hoping to help them, he inadvertently let in the oppressors, a decision that still haunts him. He now clearly sees the insidious nature of this oppression, but sees no way out of it.

4. Myrath - I Want to Die
- “If we cannot go back in time, if we don't have a second try, I take a last breath to say without you I will die.”
- “I want to die, want to scream my madness, you left me behind with a million tears of sadness.”

He looks back to a time of hope, before he was betrayed by those he trusted. He longs for the world he had once planned for, but now seems so out of reach.

5. Scar Symmetry - Oscillation Point
- “Blade in hand I do hesitate, terror can be read in my face.”
- “Caged inside, I cannot seem to end the battles, breaking down I worship the insane.”

He cannot escape his misery. He decides he must take his own life, but struggles with this decision. Just as he is about to do it, he stops himself. He can’t make up his mind about what to do next.

6. One I Cinema - The Mirror
- “When I look into the mirror, I don’t see myself, there’s someone else.”
- “But sometimes when I close my eyes, there’s a boy standing right in front of me, and he’s pointing his finger at me… he says ‘you know who I am, I am made of your guilt, and I’m stuck with you’.”

He stands in front of a mirror, reflecting on everything that’s happened. He realises that he is not himself, that his guilt is holding him back from being able to save his people.

7. Tremonti - Make It Hurt
- “Turn back, obey them no more, now I'll change and rise like before, I've been waiting my whole life just to set it right, and I'm gonna make it hurt.”
- “Strength within to gain the glory again ... claim your strength again.”

Reinvigorated, he decides to fight back. He resolves that his people will rise up again and hit back at the oppressors.

8. Myrath - Get Your Freedom Back
- “Fight everyday for your freedom of mind, rise and revolt before they take it all.”
- “It's your duty to rise… get your freedom back, you can have it all, the oppressor's there on the way.”

He spends days speaking to his people, bringing them together, with a call to action. He tells them that hope is not lost, that they can fight back and win their freedom again.

9. Disillusion - The Liberation
- “And the fires burn with mere confabulation, cast their flames into the wide, draw an image of summer that so long I put aside.”
- “And higher and higher and higher we go, and deeper and deeper and deeper we fall.”
- “What if all your chances never taken were to fade and disappear? What if all your dreams were disillusioned and you feel you were led astray?”

The rebellion begins very suddenly. Before the oppressors realise what’s happening, the people have risen up and riots and fires have broken out. Our protagonist realises he put this off for too long. He also realises that his people are at risk of causing unnecessary violence, and that l he needs to keep them focused on why they are rising up - to once again have the opportunities and freedoms they have been denied. There is a moment of calm in the storm, while the riots subside and he thinks about what the future will bring, but before long the chaos begins again.

10. Tremonti - Providence
- “Take what you find and hold it inside, pretend it would never be fair. Learn from your past, resist to the last.”
- “Tear down the walls we build from the wars we wage.”

The battle won, the people freed, our protagonist resolves that his people should never let themselves be oppressed again.

NARRATOR (EPILOGUE)

11. The Human Abstract - Antebellum
- “We fell asleep in arms that fondled our teeth and sold them off to thieves, now we sell ourselves around. Only time will tell if stories like these will share the same fate.”
- “Waiting on knowledge fed to us with a plastic spoon.”

We end on a cautionary note… This wasn’t the first time a society let itself fall. The narrator is from one such society, and tells us how they also allowed themselves to be taken over by those who pretended to help and care for them. These mistakes are easy to make. The question is, how do we learn from them?

would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
