For everyone else, if you want to send your final round concept album early, I have no problem with that, but there's also no need to either as I'm not going to listen to them at all until after Round 7. But it definitely wouldn't hurt to start planning your concept album now, if you haven't already.

And I don't think there's any particular need to "audit" the artists you're thinking of including, and I feel my rules are pretty clear cut on banned artists, my RYM list is comprehensive, and on those rare occasions I've heard something and not rated it, I generally allow it (like Puppies sending AFI in my last roulette). However, if you want to double check before you put the time into creating a concept album, you're very welcome to.

i spent like over an hour on just the story and then another half hour preparing that flavor text post ariich i hope you don't enjoy even a single part of the whole package
on the flip side the flow on this one worked out stunningly easy, all the transitions basically handed themselves to me on a silver platter and i think i'm fine with that
almost as if these songs were already all just a story waiting to be woven together

edit: okay i noticed a few spelling errors in my story file and that i missed the lyrics to one of the songs in my lyrics sheet (but the album file I sent has the full lyrics attached to it as well) so i resent, full flavor post and all, feel free to delete the first one

edit2: GODDAMMIT now i want to add a commentary file into the whole ordeal which means I'm gonna have to resend again. i'm very impulsive as you can see

Round 7 first impressions

1. This is heavy, pretty proggy and surprisingly dense. I like it, but not sure how much yet.

2. This is somehow simultaneously of its time and ahead of its time.

3. This is probably the best thing you’ve sent all roulette.

4. This is… just a bit boring, to be honest.

5. This has a great groove to a lot of it and should be up my alley, but the vocals aren’t doing it for me right now and could be a sticking point.

Impression #2 perhaps. Pretty good way to describe the band from what I've heard. Very, very 90's but pushing boundaries in ways that a lot of their contemporaries hadn't even thought about.

realizing i called jane's addiction a 90's band when that particular album predates the one from The Cure lol oops.

there's a real good spread of variety and also age in this round tho. two late 80's albums of very different styles, a turn-of-the-millennium post-hardcore record, mid 2010's prog-death and "literally a month ago" melodic death metal
