First listens done so here are some first impressions. Generally another solid round, some cracking stuff, overall I don't think it's as great as the first round.

Round 2 first impressions

1. Warm and groovy. Kinda quirky but also accessible. I like it, though it feels like there might be something a bit lacking.

2. The playing and production are fantastic, but musically a lot of this left me feeling pretty cold. There are some great moments though so it might grow on me more.

3. I thought I knew what this was going to be like from the first song but it went in some other directions and had some nice variety. The production doesn't seem to give it the impact it needs, which might hold it back, but it was good still.

4. Nice album, but not sure it’s as interesting as your last submission. The vocals in particular don’t seem very engaging, and very little stood out to me.

5. Perfectly pleasant, but didn’t hold my attention at all. Not sure if that's a feature of my mood or the music just not engaging me, so won't pre-judge.

6. This is a little cheesy, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Too early to say whether it's enjoyable enough to warrant the cheese factor.

7. Also a little cheesy at times but there's lots that I like here, especially instrumentally. Some really gorgeous moments. Not wholly sold on the vocals so far.

8. I like the general style and appreciate the variety and experimentation, but on first listen there was almost nothing hooking me in.

9. The sound is kind of raw, but it’s also absolutely huge. Combined with quite a lovely harmonic approach, this was really immersive right from the start and made a big first impression on me.

10. Energetic and slightly mad. Not enough roulette submissions involve kazoos.

9 could also be primordial so it probably is

Also I could be #10 except I don't think there are any kazoos just that the production on the woodwinds is a bit crap. Which is literally the only flaw I can point to on the album

10 is Blasterpiece :lol

I only know one other album with the kazoo and it’s not in this round. I don’t like my chances here by reading the impressions but I’m not certain

Yep. :lol Figured I'd stick with doing one really specific first impression each round. Out of interest, what's the other album with kazoos?

God Himself by Atumatu, was released last month I believe. :)
It doesn't sound nearly as quirky though, it's very altered in the mix and doesn't sound as kazooey

So, is this a thread about kazoos now? I had to google what it was and now I am curious to hear a song that has kazoos.

I think the closest Biti Bam got to a kazoo is the cute gym whistle in Telos, it reappears but only in that section.
