Owl Screech and his companions (if they can be called such) moved down the road silently in the night, not wanting to draw the attention of whatever horrors may be out in the wastes. The assassin was lost in thought. How had the others followed him here? The inscriptions on the 3 artifacts he had found in the green forest made no mention of transporting the others with him. Could it be because they were all inextricably linked from the beginning? Would they have to work together? Owl Screech just wanted to get away and was enticed by the promise of being able to fly once again. The artifacts had whispered to him, made promises, spoke such wondrous things in his head. But this place......this place was not what he had imagined. Where were they? How do they get back? Perhaps working together is the only way back. Did he dare tell any of the others what he had done? That their being here was all his fault?
As they came upon a fork in the road, Owl Screech was jolted out of his brooding by the sudden disappearance of The Wizard from the South. He had expected this of him. He was always one to go his own way, just like Owl Screech. The assassin was even more perplexed when Alithia suddenly removed all of his armor and tore off his clothes and darted to the south, all the while raving like a madman. Owl Screech had always suspected he was no righteous paladin, and his suspicions were just confirmed. Or perhaps this place had caused madness to set in on Alithia. The rest of his companions looked equally confused.
In the confusion Owl Screech stealthily moved away from the others and off to the south as well. He would have to be careful to not bump in to Alithia, or whoever he is, but Owl Screech feels the artifact's power pulling him south. He must know where this all leads.
