If you guys are mad about the speed of this roulette, remember: a) these first 4 rounds have 16 songs, give me some time; as the roulette progresses and people are eliminated there will be fewer songs to listen to so it shouldn't take so long to get listens in and writeups out to you. And even then, b) round 4 shouldn't take very long at all.

Pace is just fine dude.  Don't worry about jj blazing through his rounds - he's going like a 14 year old who just learned to fap.  You're pace is just fine so far.

Gunship - Fly For Your Life

Don't know the other one, seems like a foreign last name that's too hard to figure out by just guessing.
people on this board are actual music fans who developed taste in music and not casual listeners who are following current fashion trends and listening to only current commercial hits.

Maybe I missed it in the last 14 pages, but do the bonus points we get count for every elimination round? So, do I have a 3 point disadvantage if I don't send for any bonuses before the first elimination round?

Yes. That's how it works. It goes both ways. If you use your bonuses now, you'll be at an advantage now, but if you send what you KNOW are strong songs, you may be a couple of points behind now, but then you can whip those out later and catch up during what you think would be a weaker round.

All the songs are guessed, so hangman is over.

I don't see how that's an advantage. If I send my best songs now, no one can cock-block me and I still have the same amount of points in the end, when it counts. Plus, there's less chance of me being eliminated now.

It's ok though, I do hope I won't be that far behind for it to matter during the first elimination.

There's a very minimal advantage to hanging on to them - unless one is certain they can NAIL the top song with a future category/theme, but there's no guarantee of that.  Otherwise, not using them now risks never getting to use them.  How many survivor contestants got the boots with the immunity idol in their pocket?  How many Amazing Race contestants finished last with an express pass in their pocket?

But by all means... save them.

I was going to use them all in the first three rounds, sending songs directly geared towards them. Then I figured, screw it, I'll send one song I want to regardless of bonuses, which was this round. Hopefully, that doesn't kill me.

I watched the Canadian version - mrs.jingle made us.   ;D  And in the 3 Canadian versions, it's also happened once.  I figured at that ratio, it must've happened a few times in the US version.  Guess not.

Well, my point still stands.  Anyone who gets booted by a point or less, with a bonus in their pocket, will be kicking themselves.  That ain't gonna be this cochise!

TIDBITS!!!

I'm going to try to get at least 2 more listens in though.

The beginning drags on, but ending is beautiful

I wish the singer sang more.

This song has absolutely everything I love about music in one place.

I feel like I'm in an 80s movie

A beautiful power ballad.

This song moves from prog to metal to jazz... where next?

The second half of this song feels like a concerto

Borderline almost too harsh for me.

The mood of the song doesn't fit the title.

Makes me feel all warm and tingly inside.

Nice buildup as the song goes on.

It doesn't feel like the song is as long as it is and that's a good thing.

Solid technical prog.

It feels like the band crammed an epic's worth of material into a shorter song.

Solid balls to the wall metal.

Holy loud wall of sound spacy sound.
I don’t know what to put here anymore

There's a few that I can quite easily eliminate, and a handful (both good and bad) that could apply to mine.  My preferences:

This song has absolutely everything I love about music in one place.

Makes me feel all warm and tingly inside.

Solid balls to the wall metal.

Of course, it could also be ...

Borderline almost too harsh for me.

The mood of the song doesn't fit the title.

But, I'm going with 'balls to the wall metal'
