You're talking about Oceansize being too DTF popular to the person who just sent Nightwish and Iron Maiden in the opening two rounds of the roulette. Does not compute. :lol

yeah but i mean i tend to like introducing people to bands they'd likely not hear from most other members of the forums.
for example planned round 3 is like a quintessential parama band

especially since my daughter was born.

I was the same way... from the time I got married to the time when jingle.kids became a little self-sufficient ('99-'05) I did virtually no musical discovery.  Hell, I even lost track of DT for a few years.

Since then, I've been a maniac.  :D

Yep. I have to admit, I less familiar with Mangini era DT than the rest. I've only been able to listen to the Astonishing once.

And that's completely fair. I don't have any responsibilities that are nearly as big as children, and I still have bands like that. I was just pointing out that it's amusing how Parama was telling me that a band that is slightly popular here is way too popular for him to send, when I've sent only bands that are very popular here so far.

I think it actually takes courage to send something as popular as Iron Maiden. There is always chance host doesn't have it on banned list because he hate it for some reason :lol and it would be damn hard to choose only one song from their huge discograph. But great choice with When the Wild Wind Blows :tup best off TFF

I disagree, I think Isle of Avalon is easily the best on TFF.

WtWWB is really really good too, though.

I disagree, I think Starblind is the best on TFF.

Actually, I think that Isle of Avalon, Starblind and WtWWB are almost indistinguishable from each other in quality at the top of that album. The Talisman and The Man Who Would Be King are just a smidge below.

Hard to make a case against The Talisman. Also, can we note how on a roll Janick is? He wrote Dream of Mirrors, Dance of Death, The Legacy, The Talisman and The Book of Souls—among the best songs on five consecutive albums.

The Talisman is my favorite by quite a margin. And Mother of Mercy is my least favorite by quite a margin, that chorus  :loser:

Yesterday being Mother's Day in the US, I did not focus on the roulette very much. So here you go.

Sacul guessed H, waits 3 turns
Parama waits 2
Bolsters waits 1
Fluffy is eligible

Letters Used: E W T A C R U S B I H
This _a_ A__ A_e - __re __ a C_i_b _ess __ a Wait
The Dear Hunter - Shame
Susanne Sundfor - Memorial
Redemption - Black and White World
Damien Rice - Colour Me In
_ar__ S____i - Sti__ Hurt_
_u_shi_ - ___ __r __ur _i_e
David Maxim Micic - Where Is Now?
Casualties of Cool - Moon
Beyond the Bridge - The Difference is Human
Thank You Scientist - Suspicious Waveforms
Star One - Cassandra Complex
Iron Maiden - When the Wild Wind Blows
Grayceon - War's End
Kamelot - Abandoned
Leprous - Forced Entry

I'm going to try to get writeups done by Wednesday. However, Saturday I did not get a listen in like I had planned, due to me having my wife's car, and her car is older and doesn't have an aux input (she had a radio player, but it broke a few weeks ago) so I had no way of playing music. Sunday as I said was Mother's Day, so I got very little listening in. I've only gotten through one listen total, and started my second listen on the way to work this morning. I'll have some tidbits tonight. Overall though, you guys sent me an even stronger round of songs this time through. There's some REALLY good stuff here.

If you guys are mad about the speed of this roulette, remember: a) these first 4 rounds have 16 songs, give me some time; as the roulette progresses and people are eliminated there will be fewer songs to listen to so it shouldn't take so long to get listens in and writeups out to you. And even then, b) round 4 shouldn't take very long at all.
I don’t know what to put here anymore
