So at the Absinthe show they served Absinthe, well it was a vodka mixed drink which they claimed was topped with Absinthe, either way I felt compelled and had one of the green drinks and it was delish.

This morning, I opted to finish off the rest of the Jack and apple juice I made last night.  No point in wasting it.  Makes for a good Friday morning.

Went into NYC and had two collaboration IPAs from Other Half (probably the best brewery in the city) and a burger. Followed all that with Alemsith Hammerhead Speedway. If any of you have had Alesmith's regular Speedway Stout, you know it's pretty much a world class coffee stout on its own. Hammerhead is a version of that beer where the coffee is pretty much on steroids. Simply fantastic.

Picked up a Balvenie 14 Caribbean (aged in rum casks), will be cracking on Tuesday about noon after finishing a  professional exam.

In the meantime, in with a Jameson while grilling/studying.

In. Brooklyn Improved Old Fashioned. It's a strong rye ale spiced with similar botanicals to what goes in an Old Fashioned cocktail, then aged in rye whiskey barrels. Very well executed.

The Uber driver I had just now is testing my plan to not drink tonight :lol Two wrong turns, along with at least one more where he nearly made the wrong turn, and he also didn't have seatbelts in his car.

I had a bad uber experience in Phoenix.  I almost made the driver cry because she took me about 20 minutes out of my way, and I wasn't mean at all to her to make her cry, but I told her a few times she was taking the wrong way (I had my own GPS running which was telling me so) and she refused to admit it.  Finally she agreed that she was going the wrong way.  A 5 minute ride turned into 25 minutes.  She showed me how it got messed up (which appeared to actually be ubers fault (not her, their system)).  I got refund the next day, good thing I screen shotted the app once I got my pick up to prove my how my trip was scheduled.

I only have a couple in the fridge now, I need to restock. I'm not in the mood tonight though. I have a Rogue Cold Brew IPA I picked up after a hearty recommendation a couple of weeks ago from the girl at the liquor store. I may have that tonight, I may save that for tomorrow. I also have a New Glarus IIPA that I'm saving for a special occasion (my friend is having a Tonys party in a couple of weeks and I'm sure we will be drinking a lot of beer, I was going to split that with her)... a Shake chocolate porter (that I'm saving to have with my wife) and a Leinie's Beergarten Tart (That I"m saving for Friday to get the Leinie Friday badge on untappd).

I usually go to the places that have the pick your own 6 packs to try new beers. Where do you guys go if you do that? Two local chains of liquor store here, Binny's and Garfields, do that... I also sometimes go to Trader Joe's and World Market. There's another one that has that and you can just pick from the entire store (like take a bottle from another 6 pack and do that), but since you can get more high quality stuff, it can get more expensive, so I only do that once in a while... it's also a little far away, and so I will probably do that once I get done with school.
I don’t know what to put here anymore

A rare Monday night appearance in this thread for me. Went out to the bar with my sister and some of my old coworkers from my dad's restaurant. Two pints of Firestone Walker Easy Jack, two pints of Ommegang Hennepin, and a shot each of Jack Fire and Bulleit later I'm doing just fine.

Anyone ever deal with headaches from drinking? I don't mean a hangover the next day, I mean just casual beer consumption causing headaches. I'll tell you, it's getting really bad with me. I had three beers over the course of an hour over the weekend and it felt like someone was driving a railroad spike through the left side of my head. It doesn't matter if it's a single beer or ten, I always getting a pounding headache in the hours to follow.

VERY tasty.  You can definitely taste the influence of the CS on it.  Wife got it for me for Christmas.  It was not cheap.

@Chino, not really.  Hasn't ever really been an issue for me.  I'd be pretty pissed if it were.
