I'm sure it's good in its own way but it just makes me miss Layne way too much. It's like replacing Axl in GNR. No wait, that's a good idea. It's like replacing DLR in Van Halen. No wait, that is a good idea. It's like replacing Bruce Dickinson in Iron Maiden.

The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here might be the best AiC album after Dirt!

DuVall is more than worthy replacement for Staley imo. The dual vocals of DuVall and Cantrell, work really well in the two AiC albums without Staley.

On my fourth listen through and it really grew on me. At first I started coming back for just The Widow (that song's just constantly stuck in my head), but the rest of the album is quite amazing  :hefdaddy I do not get the three minutes of random noice at the end of the widow though :p

I agree. I don't normally like the more chunkier sounding songs, but that opening bass rift has such an amazing sound.

This one is okay, but I think the debut was better.

Nice call with the Bob Catley album BigH. I have soft spot for that album, apart from the blatant The Who rip off. Gary Hughes always has one "borrowed" song per album

Gary Moore - we want Moore  :metal

yeah it has 3 or 4 pretty good tunes - starts off strong but fades a bit in the second half.  City Walls is the Who rip off, but in fairness there are about a thousand other songs that crib the Baba O'riley riff.

My introduction to them.  Those "Classics" series were awesome.

I really enjoyed it!

Cosmic Egg is still easily my favorite album from them, Victorious could overtake the self titled as the second favorite. Eye of the Beholder, Simple Life and Gypsy Caravan are the highlights. Gypsy Caravan is the catchiest thing i've heard in a long time!

Check it out, if you got the time! I might order this on vinyl.

God I love this band already, found them yesterday. It's like System of a Down had a prog baby.

Turns out I love this band. Sad that nowhere online seems to have The Kindness of Strangers—I had wanted to get them in chronological order if possible.

Edit: I guess Radiant has it for not very cheap. Problem somewhat solved but it may be a little while before I get that one. Okay because I already have Transatlantic + three Neal solo albums, two of which I'm not too familiar with, to fill my Neal Morse needs.
