A story of a man who lured a frenzied pack of seagulls onto a busy train with a bag of fish and chips took the internet by storm earlier this week. The man was apparently sitting at Frankston Railway Station in Melbourne feeding a flock of about 15 to 20 seagulls his chips before suddenly launching the food into the train carriage just as the doors were closing and causing chaos. The story was shared by Melbourne man Chris Harrigan who posted it to Facebook on Monday afternoon before it was picked up and shared by many other users. But it turns out the viral sensation was nothing more than a standard joke from back in 1989 by the late Australian comedian Maurie Fields on the popular 'Hey Hey It's Saturday' television program.

Can someone explain to me why these type of things are always really shitty quality? It's not difficult to make words on a jpg and have it be clear, so I assume it's something that's done on purpose. Facebook is full of these types of posts that look like someone printed it out, scanned, it, then reduced the quality before posting.
