The U is looking good against Florida.
They are looking very good.

If Cal can either play well, win one, or both, then that'd be a huge boost for them for the rest of the season. Also smashing Portland State should give them confidence for when they play Ohio State next week.

They should be able to light up Portland thoroughly, considering they were moving the ball well against a very solid NW defense. As to Ohio St., that might be a bloodbath, I think they are gonna have something to prove against Cal after we almost took them down in the shoe last year. The Oregon game, o/u should be set at 110 at least lol.
The Ohio State defense still has a few question marks, but we'll see all the starters on the field for the first time of the season today and that'll be indicative of how good of a defense Cal might be facing next week. We'll see. I'm not convinced they are firing on all cylinders yet. The Ohio State offense is doing well, but they hardly broke out the playbook last week. I bet we'll see more of the same today against SDSU and then they'll open up the playbook next week against Cal (because of how Cal gave them a run for their money last year like you said).

I realize they're playing against Buffalo, but Baylor appears to have not lost a step since last year.  Holy shit...

With the back-up QB. Braxton Miller played 7 plays total in the game and all the scoring has been with Kenny Guiton at the helm.

That first PI call on that drive was shit, but the second was legit. Although the first allowed the second to happen.

Can't really do anything about it, the referees are bound to fuck something up and no one can control it.

Seriously.  Beyond that, it sure looked like he got a foot down.  Sure enough it was the difference in the game.  Horse shit.

Now I get to live with the world's cockiest fans for a year (though they'd be just as cocky had they lost).

I think the point is that there probably isnt a team in sports history that lost a game because of a bad call, and Notre Dame's gotten away with as much as anyone else.  :lol

Even still, that has no relevance on the game and is still shit any way you look at it. just because teams including Notre Dame have gotten bad calls in their favor in the past, that doesn't mean it's suddenly okay to happen and that they deserve it.

Seriously this.  Make the right call because it's the right call to make.  "Compensation" for what one believes may or may not be just in the past is flat out wrong.

Aggies against Alabama this week. If we repeat last year's victory, there'll be high hopes for a national championship season.

They are succeeding at this point. Their offense will have to step it up in a major way if they want to improve over last season. The defense is already playing great, so I don't see any worries there.

Problem being their offense struggled all game to put up any points on a team that let up 55 to McNeese St the week prior.

So Johnny Football is reaching LeBron James levels of unpopularity?

I don't particularly like him but I love my school so much...

I'm from Columbus, OH and I couldn't care less for LeBron. But, that's probably because I can't stand watching basketball. I'm fairly indifferent to him.

It looks like there is now some doubt that Braxton Miller will even start on Saturday vs. Cal. Each day this week has led to the possibility we will be seeing Kenny Guiton make the start on Saturday. From what Meyer said, they'll figure it out for sure tomorrow.

I honestly don't know what it'll mean in the grand scheme of things. The offense should function relatively the same. Guiton can do everything Miller can, just not to the same level, but he is close. Most OSU fans would not worry too much if Guiton ended up playing, but if he got hurt, then there is a massive question mark when it comes to Cardale Jones (Redshirt FR) and JT Barret (True FR).

Now Meyer is saying game-time decision for Miller.

With the way the last two teams moved the ball on us, I think our modus operandi for the entire season will be to outscore the opponent. Not the most effective, but it will make for some fun ass football. Goff, our true freshman qb, already has 900yds.

I saw that. Very impressive for his age. I have a feeling this will end up being a shootout. The OSU defense still has some questions in the front seven, but the DBs are doing great. I also expect Meyer to open up the playbook a bit this week. All the plays on offense that have been run so far were plays that were ran all the time last year and everyone knows they really worked on the entire playbook in the summer. We'll have to see how that works out.
