All the morning tweets from RR have been about Rush, the new album from trivium coming out in October, there's something about a band I've never heard of making an announcement....:soon:  and apparently there's a new DT bootleg from '93 we can download. (read off my phone, so I don't have a link, sorry.

No single today.

The bootleg was retweeted by DTF, not DT

No single today.

We, as a human species, need to learn to trust hef more often.
Who doesn't trust Hef? This was a statement designed to keep the "y u no give snippets today?" posts from becoming rampant. If we were going to get snippets or anything relating to DT12 today, we would have.

And it was mostly aimed at people in the states who haven't seen the RR twitter feed.
Everything is immaterial. Do you know that reality is immaterial? This is not reality.
In what friggin' universe is a 68 minute long album "short"?

I wasn't trying to be accusatory, just making a broad assessment. Apologies, my friend :)

Right... like I said, read off my iPhone's lock screen, amongst other texts and tweets, which makes the print really small. Misread that part.

Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

I've been a DT fan since I&W and I don't ever recall one of DT's labels holding such a tight reign over pre-release remarks and
reviews. I could be wrong. They seem to really want to control the sequence of events leading up to this release for some reason.
Maybe it's just to control leaks and piracy. Or maybe I'm just off base. Sure seems that way to me though.

Have to say that with ADTOE was something similar though, except they gave us some snippets to listen to it.

The first snippet for ADTOE was released on August 5. If they follow the same schedule, we could get something next week.

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Will somebody please tell me what all this hooplah is about some album cut-off?? I've seen it everywhere but somehow have managed to have NO IDEA what anyone is talking about. Lol. There was something wrong with the artwork? In what way? I hadn't noticed anything....
Here you go. Have fun reading!

Thank you kindly, lol. I literally could not see the problem until someone posted the pic with the color curves altered. Now I can see it if I look for it. I'm sure other monitors are a different story though. Glad they fixed it!

Yeah me too.  I didn't even think to complain that those at the listening party heard the record and I didn't.  I just thought it was cool that DT was doing something like that for the first time in their careers.

"Entitlement" is an interesting emotion.

Haha oh yeah, I think we were talking about this the other day! Obviously, this guy feels like he is entitled to hear what a few select other people got to hear....  I don't know, I just don't think that way I guess, or at least I try not to!
