This wasn't a vacation....it was a 6th birthday party for my son, but we took our boys and a couple of their buddies to the "City Museum" in St. Louis. It is a huge indoor/outdoor playground constructed of a mishmash of steel, concrete, wood etc etc with an endless avenue of tunnels/slides that go in,out, over, under, through the walls, ceilings, floors.....it's insane and a blast. I took some pics but they really don't do it justice. There is no 'normal' thing there....it's all just custom mosaics and what not. Here's some pics:
The Birthday Boy:
Two of my boys, Kyle (glasses) and Ethan (Angry Bird shirt)
Now Venturing Indoors:
These next couple are of an area where the wall is nothing but old steel dyes, this was just a small section:
Now, the older kiddos were off and running....my wife secured the only entrance/exit into the area and kept an eye on our two and their two buddies as they ran in and out of the tunnels.....my youngest Luke turned into a tunnel rat and for the next hour and a half I just crawled around with him all over the place. It was awesome.....we'd get to a spot and I'd ask him where he wanted to go....and it was a "diss way"....and I just followed....was a blast!
Not the greatest pic....had the reverse thing going so there was no flash....but here we are in a large hollowed out tree tunnel...
Hard to see but we were in an underground tunnel here.....
