It depends on how you want to think of it. If it's shot in Canada, with Canadian actors, that's enough cred for me, so I think of them as Canadian. I like seeing a lot of the same familiar faces. I caught an episode of Arctic Air the other week, and recognized the majority of the crew from scifi shows I watch.
They're mostly American productions shot in Canada though. Only a relatively small number seem to be pure Canadian, like Continuum.
Yeah, it's kind of a toss up, I guess. ReGenesis was another great SciFi show, one that actually got me into TV shows in the first place, that was made and produced in Canada with a mix of Canadian and American cast. Too bad I don't see very many of them on TV anymore.
And you gotta start somewhere. One day if you're lucky, you might get typecast into some Canadian scifi!
Here's to hoping! I do plan to help advance my career Sylverster Stallone style though, by writing my own scripts, and trying to get them produced. I kind of did that already before Christmas, which was the short film I did where I included
this. (Thank you, Blob, for inspiring me to make that, by the way.
)
I do want to include some kind of an homage to DT in one form or another in everything I end up producing.
Oh, by the way, that friend I mentioned above, he's the one who I said really dug the instrumental section of Outcry, even though he doesn't listen to anything of the sort.
