Favorite "simple" song

Title says it all.

We all know that DT is known for being technical geniuses, but what do you think is the best example of them "pulling in the reigns" and doing it well?

"Space-Dye Vest" is my choice.  So beautiful.  Love that tune to death.

I Walk Beside You.  Easy.  Never understood all the dislike for it when 8vm came out.

I consider These Walls simple, so that's my choice. Fantastic song.

I consider The Mirror a simple song but I'll go with more truly simple tracks. Forsaken and These Walls are next on the list I can never decide which one I like better. If not those then I Walk Beside You.

When I first joined I was scrolling through the avatar choices and was like hey Bruce Campbell! At the time I just discovered Burn Notice a TV show he stars in so that's my story. Never bothered to change it.

Not sure if it's my favorite, but I've always been a fan of Cover My Eyes.

This changes periodically, but right now it's firmly fixed on The Silent Man.  It is easily one of my favorite songs by Dream Theater--maybe even in my top 10.

It's also the only Dream Theater song I've probably listened to every day for the past two weeks.

Frankly I think we shouldn't have the avatar templates thing. Or at least update the images in it with images that are less aggravating :lol

About to Crash or These Walls....tough to decide between the two
"All great works are prepared in the desert, including the redemption of the world. The precursors, the followers, the Master Himself, all obeyed or have to obey one and the same law. Prophets, apostles, preachers, martyrs, pioneers of knowledge, inspired artists in every art, ordinary men and the Man-God, all pay tribute to loneliness, to the life of silence, to the night." - A. Hollow Years from Bukodan by a long mile

Also SDV deserves honorable mention. Never been so moved or haunted by a simple piano riff before.

Most songs on Octavarium. Root of All Evil is pretty simple, I think it stays in 4/4 the whole time.
