Casey's lyrics are basically saying "I don't believe in god, but I turned out OK because I learned good stuff from my parents"

That's not really what he's saying.  He's just saying that he turned out OK regardless of a belief in God, not that he doesn't believe in God.  Casey was recently chatting with us about his personal religious beliefs and, while it got a bit abstract, I think a fair summary is something along the lines of saying that he doesn't necessarily believe in God, but he doesn't necessarily NOT believe in God either.

Btw... for those of you still waiting on vinyls, Triple Crown posted this today:

Quote
Sorry for the lack of updates, we’ve been trying to get them ourselves  but had no news from our manufacturer.
Apparently one of the plates for one of the EP’s broke and they and to cut a new one, this set us back longer than normal for production time.
We’re being told the box sets will be shipping from the plant end of this week early next, they will take a few days to arrive at Merchdirect who will then fill orders immediately.
As soon as we get confirmation the box sets have shipped from the plant we will inform everyone.
Again sorry for the icomvience, doing our best to get the orders out as quickly as possible

I only ever watched G4 for Ninja Warrior.  Then they eventually ruined that too.

If this is their attempt to masquerade as a channel that doesn't suck they're barely not succeeding

Filth and Squalor off of black - probably a good choice considering the audience.   :metal

Totally missed that announcement.  Don't have G4 at school anyway.  Or a TV.  Cool to hear "Filth and Squalor" though.  That's the song I hope they play the most on tour.

Nice to see that they got some musicians who can actually sing some half way decent backing vocals. Some of the guys I've seen on previous tours were pretty painful.

For a television show it wasn't bad at all.  It does sound a lot worse on headphones when relistening, though.

I was listening on 2.0 stereo speakers and could hear the electronics/sounds pretty well in addition to the band.  Thought it was decent, and didn't expect it to.  Live performances on TV have the potential to be HORRENDOUS.

Nothing up on LATR yet, but I know that at least two of the regulars were at the show, so there should be a setlist up soon.  I'll post it here once it goes up.

My "dream" TDH setlist

Writing on a Wall
In Cauda Venenum
Filth and Squalor
We've Got a Score to Settle
Smiling Swine
But there's Wolves?
Misplaced Devotion
Lake and the River
The Canopy
The Collapse of the Great Tide Cliffs
Red Hands
Progress/Therma
Look Away
Home
1878
The Pimp and the Priest
His Hands Matched His Tongue

Encore
Life and Death

I know that's completely unrealistic (although time wise it's perfectly fine- I think) but that would easily be the best show in the history of anything ever.

Apparently Casey really wanted to work in "Progress", but said they couldn't figure out a way to pull it off.  I'm also told the setlist is a "work in progress", so it may change as the tour goes on.  They've also apparently prepared 4 "back-up" songs...

Just because I haven't done it yet, here's my Color Spectrum ranking.

1. Red
2. Black
3. Indigo
4. Yellow
5. Green
6. Violet
7. Orange
8. White
9. Blue

A few notes:

*Blue is the only EP whose ranking I'm 100% confident of. It's the only one I don't like.
*The reason Black isn't my #1 is because of Take More Than You Need. I like it, but I don't love it.
*Orange was originally going to be much higher than it is. Then I thought about it. Echo and But There's Wolves? are incredible, but the two other songs sandwiched in between are just ok. Because the EP begins and ends so strongly, I almost forgot that the other two songs aren't standouts.
*I think White is so low because I've never listened to it by itself. By the time I finally get to White, I'm slightly exhausted, and I don't pay as much attention to it as I should. I think if I singled it out and listened to it independently, my opinion of it would get better.

Red highest?
That's interesting, opinions are opinions and all, but most people I've seen has ranked it lowest. :P
Personally I like it, but it's my least favorite by far.
