Not really sure.  I generally don't pay much attention to where they're touring other than the local show... If you post something on their fb page though maybe somebody there will know.

am on le right.

Was an epic show, and I'm too tired to write anything else, so I'll just copy my latest Facebook status.

"Well, I can honestly say that The Dear Hunter has put on one of the best shows I've ever seen, or heard, in all my life. The only thing I disliked was the 120° plus 400% humidity. Although, I did get to talk to the lead singer (Casey) and get a picture with him. All in all, amazing night."

Listening to Act II for the first time all the way through, so far so good, although from what I've heard so far, I prefer Act III.

Awesome show last night. Some guy tried to start a mosh pit during He Said He Had a Story :lol

It was the last show of the tour too, and Casey was super nice and grateful and everything. Wonderful guy.

Ok, I have listened to all of two songs and really dig both of them (City Escape and Filth and Squalor)... Where do I start from here?

Just pick something. You can't go wrong with any of it.
Cole: "Ow I just got hit in the balls"
Me: "How?"
Cole: "Well you know when you try to scratch your balls, and you scratch too hard?
I'll admit sometimes I want to listen to Dragonforce.

Act II takes a lot to sink in, I think it's more complex and a lot more deeper than Act III, and generally their best album. I'm not sure if it's just me, but Act III seemed more poppy and mainstream (kind of like Coheed and Cambria's 'No World For Tomorrow'), but incredibly catchy!

I can't find these albums anywhere in the UK, had to import from US. It shames me that such an amazing band becomes a ghost amongst the realms of Gaga and Minaj. Complete shambles!

II don't actually own their music yet, so even if I had a fully charged ipod it wouldn't make a difference.

Heck yes.  Violet is definitely the one that sounds the most like the Acts stuff.  I think "Look Away" might be my favorite song on all of TCS.

This is why Violet is one of my favorites. I love the sound of the Acts and really hope Casey doesn't move the band too far in another direction.

That's actually why I like Violet the least. The other colors show just how versatile they are as a band; they're not a one-trick pony.

That's not to say the Acts sound is bad, but if I wanted to listen to that side of TDH I'd listen to the Acts.

This. Violet is great, but when I wanna listen to bits of TCS, I usually pick other EPs just because the other ones are so different from the Acts.

Violet is pretty much the only EP I listen to anymore off TCS.

I still love pretty much all of it, but for some reason I only ever want to listen to Violet.

I can unerstand that. I think the Acts are just about the greatest music I've ever heard in my life, so you can understand why I'd like more of that over what I consider to be lesser music from TDH. But I ddo enjoy nearly all of the TCS. Indigo is still the only one that I find to be pretty dull.

I agree that it's dull in its execution, but the concept itself was interesting.

Interesting.  I feel like Indigo is generally the fan-favorite amongst existing TDH fans.  As for the general sound change, I wouldn't worry too much.  There are still 3 or 4 Acts to go...

Which is so strange to me. I've been a huge TDH fan longer than nearly everyone here and I think Indigo is by far the worst on the album. I really don't see the appeal at all. I find it really dull and boring and about as far away from the Acts as anything on TCS.

As for the general sound change, I wouldn't worry too much.  There are still 3 or 4 Acts to go...
The ony thing I worry about is the interview with Casey from a few pages back where he makes it sound like he's not really all that interested in finishing the Acts and might just release them all at once digitally or something. He seems to have moved on musically from them. Which is fine if that's what he wants to do. I would just be disappointed if he didn't put the effort into finishing the story as he put in the first 3 Acts.
