Alright. This was incredibly hard for me as all these songs were pretty damned good. If you got a low rank, please do not be discouraged. It was quite painful to rank some songs as low as they were.
Best song (5 points):
zxlkho: Flying Whales - GojiraOh my god this song was amazing. Gojira has been on my "bands to check out" list for quite a long time, and I could not have asked for a better introduction. The intro was killer and really set the mood well for this track. The growls didn't turn me off of the song at all and I love those djenty riffs.
Amazing song, and I'll definitely be checking out Gojira further soon enough.
High tier (4 points):
ariich: Supercrush! - Devin TownsendThe intro wasn't very long, but neither was the song, so it works. Anyways, my only previous experience with Devy is Ziltoid the Omniscient, a killer album. The intro of this song left me thinking The Mirror was starting up.
The melodies in this song really stuck with me I gotta say, and the female vocals were really good. Devy is an awesome vocalist as always, and this song really was just awesome.
jsem: Kings and Queens - RenaissanceI am quite familiar with Renaissance, but I actually haven't listened to them in about a year. I do not own the album this song is on, but damn this is a great song. The folkiness is really a great touch and I love the vocals. The instrumental section was pretty killer too. Anyways, all-around great selection, and really there are no dull moments in this one.
Middle tier (3 points):
dtismajesty: 30:55 - Olafur ArnaldsMy favourite part about this song is just the way it progresses. From the soft notes on the piano all the way into string sections at whatnot, it's a really tasty composition, and is really elegant in it's simplicity. I really like this mixture of classical and post-rock. Overall great song.
DTVT: Secrets of Centuries - ClockworkPretty strong shades of Fates Warning here. This song was pretty epic right from the getgo. Some nice riffs, and some really good guitarwork all around are present here. The singer is pretty good too. Really nice prog metal song.
Medium low tier (2 points):
The King In Crimson: Lazy - Deep PurpleI'll admit I'm not a Deep Purple fan at all, but this song impressed me. The intro was really nice and fun to listen to. After the vocals came in, it wasn't as impressive unfortunately. But that intro was really nice.
TheVoxyn: Dance Dance Dance - 65daysofstaticI'm an electronic newb, really. This song wasn't bad though. The last minute was pretty killer I think, and it was pretty fun to listen to. A simple song really, not much to say.
Bottom (1 point):
Gorille85: Different Worlds - The Pineapple ThiefAlright, I do not dislike this song at all. In fact, it's pretty good and I liked the intro quite a bit. But the one problem I had is that I couldn't help but feel it should've been shorter. That's really the only problem though, as overall it was a good song, and I really like this bands sound. Don't let this discourage you though, as knowing your amazing taste, you will most definitely do better later on.
But for now, sorry man.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to find me a song that makes usage of any wind/brass instrument. Flutes, saxophones, tubas, clarinets, kazoos, vuvuzelas, whatever. Just gimme something with an instrument you blow into.
It doesn't necessarily have to play a leading role, but it should at least be noticably involved.
