You can disable the effect though. I do think we may get an announcement within a day to a week now though. It looks like the same thing has happened to their Twitter, Youtube and Instagram Account too.

BC&SL's cover was in a dark room with a door opening up to the sky
ADTOE's cover was in the sky
DT12's cover was in space
DT13 will allegedly shift the universal flow

But at the same time, the covers have had less & less things happening in them:
BC&SL's cover had a variety of objects & textures in the dark room
ADOTE's cover only really had one background, but it still described a scenario
DT12's cover is just a shot of a planet on the horizon with the Majesty logo

Perhaps this is to reflect our understanding of the greater universe around us decreasing as we get further away from Earth.
& if that's true, DT13's cover will be minimalist as fuck & will be another reason for everyone to hate Hugh Syme

To be fair, it does sound like something Jordan Rudess would randomly say. He is a bit strange like that. It does seem a bit odd to say that off-the-cuff though in relation to the new album, so I suspect that once we get more information, that may make more sense.

I think even Hugh Syme realises that if it was just to robo Majesty logo, it would be a bit anticlimactic after all the hype and time it took. I think that the cover will be in the style of BCaSL with a ton of song references with a unique colour scheme (like red and white or something).

It sounds like Petrucci on guitars and a very simplified Elements of Persuasion-era Mangini on drums, so it could be legit. Maybe not.

So this album could be an extension of Illumination Theor, which also delves into that concept of a universal flow and balance. They titled the middle part as Embracing Circle, which has spiritual and cosmic connotations.

Maybe it's a demo. Or maybe somebody's just messing with us.

The drumming is pretty simple compared to what Mangini did in his DT records. Not much orchestration. However, the footwork is a bit like how he would do it in his pre-DT work. And the cymbals shift from left to right speaker.

That snippet has some killer leads by some talented axeman, but no way is it Dream Theater.  The arrangement is orchestrated with only one lead instrument in mind-- there wasn't any space created where Jordan would lay down his leads.

What particurlary gives it away (IMO) is the section with the diving whammy bombs overdubs behind the mix.   This would be a place for Jordan to fill in those gaps, not JP.   It's still a killer effect though.

Plus the sloggy production and regurgitated guitar tone is . . . subpar.  Belongs on NFL highlights reel on ESPN, not on a Dream Theater album.
