I'm still caught up with the website and social media changes. It seems like a very interesting concept. Sort of reminds me of two things:

"we interrupt this program" type of a feel or an effect of the guys "losing signal" or something like that.

Sounds like someone trying really hard to play like JP. The biggest giveaway though is the drumming, sounds like an e-kit. Even on the super compressed un-natural-sounding mix of the last album the drums were less mechanical than that. Pretty cool track, though.

Yeah it's also a bit sloppy compared with DT's recordings.

Regardless, I'd like to know if this is some other band or who it is. The groove on this is really cool. This is my kind of thing - it's not mechanical, just great extended range guitar with great rock tone and groove.

Same here man, I loved it, it sounds a lot like something that could be on the Suspended Animations album by John Petrucci, but I honestly have no idea what this is.

This is basically just a V2 of the locked thread right now. We might as well call it "...Kotow buffs his post count".

We have no news besides the distortion on their website/social media pages, and most of the comments on that subject are people stating their desire for more info. If we're not going to seriously discuss theories related to the new album (Not much to build a theory on anyway), than what is the point of this thread staying open?

I'd like to think that the distortion carries some hint towards what kind of direction they're going in with the new album, but it could also mean absolutely nothing. I'm going to make a strange prediction and guess that the first track on the new album will begin with the sound of static or distortion (Yes they've done that before, but they're no strangers to revisiting musical themes).

It's gonna be great in 3-5 months when I'm wrong. I usually am.
