Artwork will come later in an edit.
Artwork still to come later in an edit, or new post. Not sure.
I finally found some artwork that matches what I want to see as a cover. As much as I love their colorful aspects and ingenious atmospheres (most courtesy of Hugh Syme), I want to see another ToT album. I want to know I'm getting metal with my prog. I dream in black and white, so I would like that to be in the music.
The original work is by Florian Imgrund. He has an In Thoughts series that is both beautiful and haunting. check it out here.

I like it as well, my only complaint would be the title font. It doesn't really fit into the cover in my opinion.

puppyonacid

OK. Here's my attempt.

Title - Cream Theodore Pt 1

I - 6 of 1
II - The Unquestioned Answer
III - The Walking Carpet
       i - Threadbare
ii - Fur-balls (instrumental where JP debuts his new Musicman guitar finished in Bearskin)
       iii - The Reichenbach Falls
IV - The Great Escape Debate
V - Prelude - The Bakers Dozen

For the first time there will be a hidden track at 70 mins in to the album. It'll be an instrumental called "Crazy Norse Gods."

I agree. Otherwise a nice design, although not very DT. It looks like an Opeth cover more than a DT one.

I've come up with another idea for this new album. This DT12 will be a double concept album, but I haven't developeda plot as of yet, so...

Dream Theater - Traces in Water

Disc One

1. Above the Clouds

2. Brave

3. Drying Seeds

4. Paper Dreams

5. Running in Circles

6. Faceless

Disc Two

7. Imprisioned

8. Traces in Water

9. Out of the Light

10. The Drowned Echoes

11. Explosion in Nature

Here you have the complete artwork. I've included every song lenght in it, hope you like it!  ;)

If I wouldn't knew that was a fake, it would have looked like a real thing to me.

^ The front cover needs a bit of sparkle but other than that - Pretty good.

That was amazing, really. Once again Nest777 is up to the internet's highest standards of awesomeness  :tup

I like the tracklist, the front and back art and the pictures you chose for the individual song art. As Kotowboy said, there need to be a little mre contrast on the front cover image and the album title. Then it will truly be perfect!

Scorpion

I like it, the cover is pretty awesome!

For some reason, Explosion in Nature doesn't sound like a DT closer to me, though, I'd end the album with Traces in the Water.

In an unprecedented move, DT took MP back but also kept MM.  So they have two drummers, ala Grateful dead.

Dream Theater - 12

1. Melody to the Max
2. These Balls
3. On the Backs of Drummers
4. 6 way split (the less money track)
5. Quad Bass bonanza
6. Drum Instrumedely

?

When Cream and Cake Unite:

1. A Fortune in Pies
2. Salad Seeker
3. It's Jam!
4. The Grilling Hand
5. Burn the Food and Get Away
6. After Meal
7. The Ones Who Help to Get the Lunch
8. Only a Matter of Thyme

You can see I'm getting hungry! :lol

?

I admit that I stole A Fortune in Pies and Only a Matter of Thyme intentionally, but the WCACU thing was a coincidence

?

I just heard a rumor that the next album will include a song called The Liar of Tuscany (You Can Tell Mah Brutha I Said So) and a part of the lyrics will look like this:

"Bearded gentleman quite eccentric
Suck on the pipe and make them uptight
Accent is getting just a little bit distinguished
It's a wonder I am still alive"

I saw this one on Facebook and thought it was really cool:

Feels more like a JLB Solo disc cover to me.

Looks more like a James LaBrie solo album cover.
Dark colours, man in a suit, grungey look - yep, that's JLB style alright! DT covers are more vibrant than that, but as prog covers go, that's a cool one.
