Blackfield

The video of the girl crying is actually from a show in 2009 when Portnoy does his cookie monster rant in ANTR. She has never been to a DT show since.

So then I'm guessing the tracklist will look something like:

Bridges In The Sky
These Walls
6:00
Build Me Up, Break Me Down
The Dark Eternal Night
This Is The Life
Caught In A Web
The Root Of All Evil
Lost Not Forgotten
Drum Solo
A Fortune In Lies
The Silent Man
Beneath The Surface
Wait For Sleep
Far From Heaven
Outcry

Surrounded
On The Backs Of Angels
War Inside My Head
The Test That Stumped Them All
The Spirit Carries On
Breaking All Illusions

Pull Me Under
Metropolis

That is both nights without repeats.....hope it looks something like that

That means it has ADTOE in it's entirety.   :metal

Isn't that a first for a DT live release??

Oh, well I guess that's true. Didn't consider that though, cause that was kinda the gimmick of that release. But, yes technically my statement was incorrect.

Anyways, I'm super damn excited for this. This whole year is gonna be incredible. DT DVD, new DT album, new JLB and JP solo albums.. Not to mention the other albums from many of my other favorite bands that are coming out this year. It is a good time to be alive.

All of that. A shame we never got the opening night of the TOT Tour where they played all of TOT in it's entirety in the first set (January 6th, 2004 at Manchester Apollo, Manchester, England).

However, over the course of the last few live sets, we've gotten all of TOT live (in some form or another).

I'm sure wasteland has a bootleg of this show.  ;D

It makes me happy that we'll have the entire A Dramatic turn of events on a live release. I've grown to love all of those songs and only missed three of them at the show I attended, so it will be great to see them on the DVD.  :metal

If he does, he can't share it... I recall reading that the band and/or Mike Portnoy had banned that Manchester gig from being shared if any bootlegs existed, mostly due to being a bad night in terms of performance.

But like I said, between LAB and SCORE, we have all 7 tracks from TOT on live releases.

Which DTFers can be seen on Score? I keep tripping I am seeing some of you guys, I'd like to know for sure.

You can see me for about 0.9 seconds.

Perpetual Change

So, you think they'll be a single before the release? I remember before Score came out, we got "I Walk Beside You", which was pretty cool. I hope they do something like that with this release.

Zydar

You mean as a live recording from the DVD? I didn't know they did that with Score, that's cool.

Yeah, but Score was kinda a big deal, because the marketting was "Hey, look, JLB's voice is back!". I remember the preview snippits were full of James hitting high notes and stuff, too.

Don't forget that the band performed all of IaW in 92-93, and there's the official bootleg of the 3/4/93 show, not to mention numerous bootlegs including a couple soundboards.

As for ToT, the band did perform that album in it's entirety 7 different times on the ToT headlining tour, IIRC. The Manchester show was the only one where they played it from beginning to end, but they did play all 7 songs non-sequentially at those other 6 shows, including the San Diego show (which I attended).
Quote from: BlobVanDam on November 13, 2015, 07:37:14 PMAs a basic rule, if you hate it, you must solely blame Portnoy. If it's good, then you must downplay MP's contribution to the band as not being important anyway, or claim he's just lying. It's the DTF way.

I'm sure wasteland can clarify this, but wasn't that show one which Portnoy banned from bootleg circulation as it was a 'rehearsal' show of sorts and the performance wasn't great?

Yeah that's right. It is a shame, because I bet the performance wasn't that bad, only by MP's standards!

Nihil-Morari

Welllll I saw them in Rotterdam only a couple of nights after that, and that show was far from tight. ToT's material was totally next level to play live for them though in terms of balls and agression an entire night long, so I understand, but I can see why a bootlegs of a couple of shows earlier would be banned.

cyberdrummer

The London show just after Manchester was pretty good though. I guess everyone can have off nights!

You got it. I have it, and I think the ban was slightly exaggerated. Yes, there is some rust in the performance, but nothing abysmal.

There's San Diego, but it's GDT, so not to be shared electronically. I'll check if the other 5 were recorded :)

The MSG show has all of ToT in its entirety I believe.

I attended that show and it was my very first DT concert. I will never forget that concert it was amazing and an almost 3 hour setlist. I was slightly disappointed that they didn't play Vacant & Stream Of Consciousness. Though I was too floored by the ending for In The Name of God JP Solo.
