If they wanna play The Best of Times, they'll play The Best of Times, dammit!

Nekov

They've been saying that there will be surprises so who knows

I hope that they get the rights to include "Dream is Collapsing" on the DVD. Best intro ever.
They just might have those rights, they did include Also Sprach Zarathrustra as an intro on CiM right?

So has Mudvayne. I think thats pretty much a public domain song

Don't know if this is necessarily that occasion, though.
Yeah, I figured. It would be really amazing if they did, as far as I'm concerned, but I won't hold my breath because I might end up disappointed :)

Who knows, you might end up getting way more than what you were hoping for... I'm just letting my mind running loose, but we know that they have To Live Forever reharsed. What if they had Don't Look Past Me too? A revamp of the two rarely (if ever) played leftover from Images. I'm not saying that it's likely, but only that it's a remote possibility that I believe you would appreciate more than SDV (surprise factor!)

I've been looking at these set lists from the last couple of concerts and I'm a bit afraid that they'll actually play War inside my head, The Test that stumped them all and The Spirit carries on, despite the fact that they had already released them on the latest official DVDs.

So I decided to go back to the master list of songs played on this tour, reconstruct the set list from the South American leg, and make what would be the perfect set list for me. I know we've already done this a thousand times and there might even be a thread for this, but whatever, I'll post it here:

1. Bridges in the Sky
2. 6:00
3. Build Me Up, Break Me Down
4. This is the Life
5. These Walls
6. Lost Not Forgotten
Drum Solo
7. A Fortune in Lies
8. Wait for Sleep
9. Far From Heaven
10. Outcry
11. Surrounded
12. On the Backs of Angels
13. Caught in a web
14. Through my words
15. Fatal tragedy
16. Breaking All Illusions
-----------------------------------
17. Metropolis, Pt. 1: The Miracle and the Sleeper

I really, really love that we've all sort of mutually decided that Score was the last official DVD. "We've all" including James LaBrie. I like Chaos in Motion! Fun DVD, good songs, basically well performed. Wish I could disagree. But man. How good should it have been?

I reckon they'll have room for a couple more songs than that, though, Mladen! Chuck in the full acoustic break for starters. The Silent Man and Beneath the Surface are mandatory. But great choices, by and large.

CiM is like that embarrassing cousin no one likes to talk about until they're reminded of his existence, which goes to the point of his existence being forgotten or even purposefully ignored :lol

Believe it or not, I actually wrote latest official concert DVDs, but I edited my post a couple of times before I posted it, and somehow I cut the word concert out. I also love Chaos in motion, it really is a lot of fun. But it's obviously not a concert DVD, it counts more like a compilation.

Sketchy

I would love to hear SDV live... Especially as an encore.

OSHI: just realised it's today. If they play SDV, tomorrow, the internet will be wild.

Less than 24 hours :caffeine:
You lucky, lucky person :) I'm sure you will, but still, have the best of times ever.

I'll have to try really hard to stay awake to see the discussion here in real time, I couldn't get any sleep last night.

Nugget overload  :omg:

robwebster

What time is it all likely to kick off? Get the feeling it'll be fairly late, but I'll happily pick up a coffee or two and watch the songs roll out in realtime. I might even keep a playlist as I go. Start five minutes after Bridges in the Sky starts, and keep adding songs to it as they're reported from Argentina.

Not gonna lie, the internet's amazing, isn't it? This site alone - five thousand voices, all across the world, all shouting at once, and it can be beamed into my home on this wet little god-forsaken rock from arenas, coffee shops, ferries, you name it. And the Victorians thought they had it good! Barely 100 years later and here we are. Firing little robots up to crawl the surface of Mars. Would blow their minds. For all they say money's the root of all evil, the pursuit of it has done the world a lot of good. I know everyone goes on about how we're destroying planet earth with all our metropoles and conurbations and all these beautiful landscapes scarred by motorways, but I don't know, I think if we'd only take the time to properly look at what we've created, we might reevaluate our perception. Everyone's their own worst critic. Future generations are only gonna see all this as a different brand of beautiful. It's almost magical.

THE COUNT OF TUSCANY.

There you go, find all the nuggets in that. I need a fucking shower.

And I shall have to figure out a way to stay up until 4 or 5 am without my mom and my siblings killing me for staying up so late. It's bad enough I regularly attend Nick's radio show :lol

I'm setting my alarm for 5 AM, that should be late enough for the show to be done and early enough so that I can go back to sleep again after looking up the setlist :)

BlobVanDam

How many hours until it starts? I bet it's probably while I'm doing that pesky sleep thing that humans occasionally require. :(

Jordan wakes up late? I didn't know that! *filing it under things normal humans shouldn't know, but Milena knows anyway*

Thanks. Looks like the show is timed perfectly to be right in the middle of my sleep where it's too late to stay up, and too early to wake up for. Curse time zones!
I'll just have to wake up to all of the amazing stories of You Or Me with extended half hour Bebot jam, and Never Enough featuring a sing-off WDADU battle interlude between Chris Collins and Charlie Dominici.

Hold on, you stay up for Nick's show? And you have to over think how to stay up for DT? I think listening too much to that radio show is causing you so start failing as much as Nick does.

@Blob: The concert will start at 21:30 Argentina time which is Sydney's 10:30 AM. It's a perfectly reasonable hour to be up.

Perfectly reasonable if I had a perfectly reasonable sleep schedule perhaps. I go to sleep at 6am. :lol

I wouldn't overthink it if my folks accepted the fact I'm turning into a nocturnal progster :D but don't worry, I will try.

Actually, fuck "try", I will do. This is the first DVD coming out since I became a fan.

No, but I have to study all day, which is even harder for me to do with less than 9 hours of sleep.

I bet I will be tired and fall asleep easy tonight . I have insomnia every few nights but when I have reason to stay awake I will sleep :yeahright
I hope I will find way to stay awake, listening to Meshuggah or something similar :P

I'd be glad to get some information about the amount of people attending this show from fellow Argentinian members or w/e; How many people this venue can take, how full it is in the actual show (in rough percents). And either way, have a great time!
