Interesting that the Metal Archives (which is by far the most complete and accurate metal website) has the track lengths listed for 4 of the songs and 3 are radically different from what was published by RR.

This is from the RR website:

With the impending release of DREAM THEATER's upcoming album, A Dramatic Turn Of Events, the band have decided to reveal a selection of album components and teasers to get you lot excited about the release (as if you need tempting!?). The first clip in the series is titled Bridges In The Sky and can be viewed on DREAM THEATER's official YouTube channel by CLICKING HERE.

So i guess there will be more snippets and teasers as we get closer to the release date...

Mladen

Ooh, more snippets to come!  :metal

Very cool, I'm always into hearing some bits before the album, it's exciting.

I kinda wish they wouldn't do that tbh.. I don't want to hear any more until I have the whole album, but I know I won't be able to resist listening to the samples..

Hey guys, we have a new entry in "wtf fictional DT releases", aka reputable sites putting up listings for things that flat out don't exist.
This time it's HMV.ca, with a Dream Theater DVD titled 'Panem & Circensis' that apparently came out on April 26th of this year. It can be yours for only $21.99! It's literally the second thing to come up on their site if you search Dream Theater.

I know DT aren't the biggest band in the world, but you'd think a store, especially a large well known one, would make sure a product at least exists before listing it.

In Poland is the same situation. You can find this DVD in every bigger store in music part. It's nothing more than Romavarium with different cover....

Yeah I bought this DVD in April probably. Not bad sound quality, I thought it was worth the purchase.

JM looks ageless as always.
And he has his same old pose  :lol :heart

And JP looks likes he can't bring his arms any closer to his body because his muscles are so big.

JLB is super chill in that photo.

I definitely like that, of the promo pics we've seen so far, they seem to have ditched the whole "TUFF METUL GUYZ RAWRRR!" approach.

Yup. These are a refreshing change.

Petrucci looks like Russell Allen in that picture.

Ditto. First thing that came to mind looking at the pic.

One of the best promo shots I've seen for a while, I like the background.

Alright, being the fervent worshipper at the altar of Rudess that I am, I can confirm what the first part of that fake Far From Heaven is; it's a piano piece called 'So It Is' from Jordan Rudess's solo album Secrets Of The Muse (said album is, IMO, the most beautiful thing I've ever heard - it's Jordan at his most emotive and evocative, and to think that people say all he can do is shred!).

Incidentally, I love both songs so much and the combination works so surprisingly well that I find myself often listening to the fake Far From Heaven and thinking that if it were a new DT song it'd be a favourite of mine.

Of course, the real FFH is already set to be an album highlight for me; there's no sounds more wonderful to me than James's voice and Jordan's piano playing, which is what FFH is confirmed to consist of entirely. If it's anything like the piano version of Wither (which I consider far superior to the album version and the best soft song DT have done since SDOIT with the possible exception of the oft-overlooked TALW) it's sure to be amazing.

DetonationSequence

Thank you! :) I initially planned to have one that somehow cleverly equated Rudess with the Judeo-Christian God concept, then saw there was a user named 'In The Name Of Rudess', cried myself to sleep at my own lack of originality and shortly thereafter decided that the best answer, as in every situation I've been in, was to solve the situation with explosions.

Maybe you should have chosen "Mythbuster" as your username then.  :hat

Oh, boy.  Well, I wouldn't be surprised if some of the BC&SL cover images were clip art as well.  But I expect more from Hugh Syme.  Someone else here pointed out a month or two ago on a high-res version of the ADOTE cover art that the rope doesn't extend all the way to the left edge of the picture.  Kinda disappointing.  But I still like the cover.  I think it's a cool design and concept.

Yeah, I really don't care about small things like that anyway.  If you don't like it, you can make your own and put that on iTunes instead.
