So anybody in Russian who did get MW2 before this recall has now a collector's item.

They better not take that level out before I get this game.

Yes, I dig it quite a bit.

Also, why are other countries so butthurt about how they are portrayed in video games? It's not like everyone who plays them are retarded enough to believe that's how those countries people are like. Oh wait....damn you average Modern Warfare 2 fan base.

But hey, that mission is quite fun. It's the only mission I enjoy fucking up on and having to start over  :P

How do you mess up on slaughtering herds of humans?  :lol

And besides the point, does anyone remember why PFC Allen didn't just point his machine gun at makarov's head and blow him away? There had to be a reason it wasn't a straight assassination, because if they put a spy next to him, there's no doubt they could assassinate him.

I purposely let the police kill me.... ;)

Also, plot holes, Modern Warfare 2 is full of them,

Yep. And the way it is told is horrible, they expect you to extrapolate a lot of things from MW and just don't explain others.

Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous. I'm still not completely sure what happened in the last few missions.

:lol I feel the same. SPOILERS TO FOLLOW:

First off why did Price shoot the nuke? And why was it directed at America? Wasn't the war against the Russians?!?! Oh, and where the hell did Makarov disappeared to?!?! I'm guessing that last one is left unanswered in MW2 so they have something to build a story for MW3.

who fucking knows. Price somehow knew that detonating the nuke in the upper atmosphere would fuck up the russians more than it would fuck up the american troops. or something. Whatever.

I think what supposedly happened, in the mind of the designers, is that detonating it high up would minimize destruction, but still create an EMP blast in the DC area, which then would halt the russian advance, take out all their air power, comms, etc. It's still fucking retarded, but hey, whatever.

Spoilers to follow.

I literally was 2 minutes playtime away from learning about the nuke. Just finished the campaign. Does anyone know why Shepard betrayed TF 141? Of course he mentioned the destruction of...that unnamed city US forces fought in to capture Al-Asad, and losing 30,000 troops, but how does that make TF 141 his enemy?

It's just one of the many plot holes in the game. At first I thought it's because he didn't want anyone to be able to connect him to what happened, but then I remembered that he still has swarms of henchman working for him, so I have no idea.

I got it for xbox a couple days ago.
So far the single player is good as always, and Special Ops was fun to play with my friend.
Multiplayer is pretty good, but it seems a lot more gimmicky, and way more cartoony. It way just be that I'm used to PC controls and such.
My KDR is also a big bag of shit. Maps I dont know + new controls + new weapons = I suck balls at this game.

I don't know what made TF 141 his enemy, but what I understood that went the city and 30,000 people was Washington D.C. They say they have rebuild the White House before and the mission that follows it is the one where you end up putting up the green flares so you don't get blown to hell.

I'm pretty sure the 30,000 people was the city that got nuked from the first one.

But they also say something about losing x number of civilians in that same speech, right?

Single Player noe done - loved it. The story is all over the place but it doesn't lack in the epic department that's for sure. There's nothing like pulling a knife out your chest to kill the bad guy. I was like, "I see you've played knify chesty before."

What more can they tell you?

All things I've seen and read is that it's exactly like the console versions because of the no dedicated server thing.

A friend of mine has it and is playing it non-stop. It does have some occasional server crashes and stuff, but he really likes it.

Gimmicky and cartoony? How so? It's  literally CoD4 with more weapons and customization. Are you referring to the titles and emblems?

I went to my friends 18th and played MW2 - my thoughts:

- Fun campaign, but as with MW1 it was inexcusably short. Try learning from Bioware or Valve.
- Not having lean was a pain, why take out something that has been around for a decade?
- The pc version looks quite a bit nicer than on 360 (I played both)
- The pc port was a bit lacking with graphical customisability... okay, very.
- The new multiplayer maps (imo) are a good improvement over MW1s...but:
- 9v9 is too small.
- No way am I paying £45 for this game. And because Activision are money-grabbing bastards they won't lower the price for years (like MW1) so looks like i'm skipping the COD games for a while.
- Review websites are universally fanbois. I'm sorry, I love Call of Duty, but I would /not/ give it a 9.4 which is a 0.2 increase on MW1 which it definitely doesn't deserve. 9.4 - really? It's almost as bad as GTAIV. Ugh.

tl;dr

activision/infinity ward failed imo, but i'll have fun at social gatherings with it.
