So on the closers, are you more looking for something that could work as a closer, and not necessarily if it actually ends an album?  My current strongest candidate isn't the last track on the album, but the band has often used it to close shows or as an encore. 

And for the weird round, how much are you factoring the perceived weirdness into the score?  I'm just wondering what prevents people from ignoring the theme and just sending a normal killer song instead.

Puppies: This is practically cheating, but I'm not gonna ban it since you had no way of knowing I already loved this one.

Buddy: This is shaped like a song I'd really like, but I'll need further listens to confirm whether or not it hits all the right notes.

TAC: See, if you're going to send something djent-adjacent, this is the way to do it.

King: This is right up my alley and I have no real issues with it, yet I'm sitting here struggling to think of anything to say about it other than that… it's good, yeah!

HOF: This sounds really good but I felt like I spent its entire runtime waiting for it to… go? Somewhere?

if it works as a closer it's fine. i kinda merged the "epic" round into this too with the extended time limit. basically what you're describing sounds like it should work
if people completely ignore a theme it will be obvious to me upon listening to the song and i will ask them to resend  i'm scoring songs based on how much i like them tho

Given the changes to the later rounds, I changed my round 3 song and moved the song that was there to the 2023 round, at least for now. I may still change that one.

I've broken mine up. I'll use one song in the last round and maybe another in the Loud round. I'm on the fence on that one though.
