I’m listening to this now. It was my first Maiden album and I think it might be my favorite. Probably that “first love” feeling I have with a lot of albums.
I always forget how great Stranger In a Strange Land is. So underrated.

When this came out, I thought it sounded so fresh and even considered it the best album at the time. That said, it hasn't aged great for me. The title track remains a Top 5 Maiden track for me though.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

I'm a casual Maiden fan but my go to tune would probably be Stranger In a Strange Land  :metal

Adrian's solo on this song is absolute world class.  He matches it with the best of them here.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

Inspired by the current listening habits thread.

This weekend I've been digging into the early days of the Iron Maiden discography: Iron Maiden, Killers, Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind. Plus the Early Days DVD. None of these are among my favorite Maiden records, but Piece of Mind sure as hell sounded great after a while. Particularly Still Life, Sun and Steel, and To Tame a Land have grown on me. The Dortmund tracks from that DVD were also cool, very nice to see a Flight of Icarus live version from '83.

Those Hammersmith ‘82 and Dortmund ‘83 shows are awesome!

Checked out this album today...

....and one song turned into another and before I knew it, I took in the whole thing!

40 minutes of nice crunchy heavy metal. Vocals are a mix of 80's style metal/hardcore/growlie.

I’ve listened to it before, but that was my first "serious" listen. Really dug it.

It's my favorite AC/DC album. Dog Eat Dog is a bit iffy, but other than that, it is top shelf.

Yeah, it has a roughness to it that's very cool. When I think about my favorite AC/DC record, though, it's typically between Powerage and Highway to Hell...

To me, LTBR just wat more powerful and heavy. Powerage and Highway To Hell are both great, but neither are nearly as heavy as LTBR.

The only other AC/DC album I’ve listened to seriously is Back in Black and I think I liked this more. I really liked every song, including Dog Eat Dog.

Back In Black is tremendous, obviously. The whole run from Powerage through For Those About To Rock is outstanding.

Agreed. I'm not even a hardcore AC/DC fan, but these albums are just fantastic. And while you are at it, get the "If You Want Blood You've Got It" live album. The energy in those live versions is something else.

I'd agree with that.   I REALLY like High Voltage too, though Let There Be Rock is a shade of a step back (though it does have Problem Child, one of my favorite AC/DC tunes ever).
