Here's the song that was (one of) my favorite(s) from the first listen. It seems like you know what I like
Guitarwork is really in style I love, reminds me of some alt/prog rock bands I like. I guess it's no surprise I like poppy music and this is really catchy throughout the whole song but chorus is especially dancy
it's one of those songs that make me not worried, like everything is fine. There's really not much to say to describe how much I liked this song, you're safe Train of Naught, with Seeds of Gold by Closure in Moscow.
I don't know why you thought this might be too safe, it's not at all. This is unlike anything I heard before. I mean, it's indie pop/rock but with a jazzy twist (or that's just a singer's voice). Singer sounds like someone between Frank Sinatra and Robbie Williams. The reason why I like this so much is the feeling, it's sounds really bittersweet to me and I like both melancholic and dancy music. Actually, for some reason it reminds me of Closing Time by Semisonic. Orchestral nature of this song gives me goosebumps and paired with jazzy tone of singer's voice makes it almost perfect. I hope their other songs sound like this one
