I'm talking like I know? I do know. I've been through freshman year and I'm a junior. By the time you hit junior year, you know how to get things and trust me if you can't buy them, find a senior, become friends with him, and ask him for some condoms.

What do you mean you can't buy them? As far as I know theres no age limit on condoms, no parental consent, etc... I had no trouble getting them a few years ago when I was 17, I don't know why it'd be any different now.

You know, I haven't told a lot of people this, and telling it to an entire internet forum is against my better judgement, but I have say something against Zeltar here:

I thought, like he did, that condoms were safe, and that they would allow me to have sex without any repercussions. Then, I meet this girl, and we hit it off, and suddenly things got sexual. I was 14 at the time. And, to be blunt, we did it. Protected. We weren't dating at that time. Six months later, she tells me she's pregnant, and is due in about three months. That scared the shit out of me. She swore that I wasn't the father. Swore. But to this day, more than five years later, I don't believe her. And she hasn't pushed the issue, but I'm not sure I should. I can't be a father right now.

tl;dr if you think it's 100% safe, THINK AGAIN

What I was trying to say is that 30 minutes of paradise is not a fair trade for a lifetime of parenting, unless you're absolutely certain that's what you want to do. She has no life now, because she has to take care of a kid. And the father is usually caught up in that as well.

Since then, I had made the choice to abstain from actual sex unless I'm certain it'll last a looooooooong time (the relationship, that is)

Thats crazy dude.

And I agree... as cliche as it sounds, the safest sex is no sex.

Even if you think you're gonna marry the girl one day, think twice, because chances are you won't and you'll be paying child support the rest of your life, even when you get your own family later down the road.

Personally, my ex-girlfriend used birth control and I STILL used condoms on top of that... even that isn't fool proof... you have to be really careful because one mistake and you could mess up the rest of your life. I never got her pregnant, but there were two or three times when she was late and I was almost killing myself worried. People think it won't happen to them, but it has to happen to someone...

Oh dude don't get me wrong, having a kid is the LAST thing I want. I just don't think it's worth waiting until marriage to have sex just because of the fear of having kids. You just have to be careful. Use quality condoms, don't have unprotected sex, stuff like that.

I'm sure you've seen a few people in your high school who were forced to marry because the boyfriend got the girlfriend/partner pregnant. That's not something you want to happen to you. Accidents happen, and while they may indeed be rare, it's not a chance I'm willing to take personally.

I took this adult view only because something like that happened to me. I thought it best to play it completely safe for now

I don't do one night stands, at least not anymore. Now I think sex is something that should be between people who have feelings for each other, though I will have a fling once in a while with a good friend, just not some random chick I meet at a party. Yeah I've seen it happen at school. It happened 11 times last year.

Yeah I can see your point and I respect it. When something like that happens to you, it changes your outlook on things. I didn't look at it the way you do until about last year and I decided the chances of impregnating a girl while wearing a condom is small enough to not scare me.
