Stop with the rigged bs.

I'm joking of course, but the Cubs got what seemed like every close pitch. I mean it was bad.

I didn't see any of the game, but knowing that Cubs fans had to watch their team getting shut out in their first home game in the World Series in like 493 years did bring a smile to my face when I heard what the final score was.

Thr MLB network guys did a great job demonstrating the inconsistencies of the ump's strike zone. Intentional or not, the Cubs had an unfair advantage last night, and the Tribe still beat them.

Cleveland just keeps doing it. Hard not to root for them at this point, especially with all of this Chicago narrative being shoved down our throat.

This is what turns me off about the Chicago team. I'm not a typical Cards fan that 'hates' Chicago because I'm supposed to. I'm so against them right now because of the bolded....the Chicago championship team narrative has been in full force since spring training so by the time the playoffs started it was already nauseating. It's only increased ten fold now with FOX just going nuts with it. Cleveland isn't playing along with the notion that they're supposed to lose and it'll be interesting to see now how Chicago reacts to the pressure. Because, they are the team with the pressure now.

Anyway, I'm sure you all have seen the John Hamm pic of him wearing the version of the StL hat that the Cards wore in 1908 last night at the game....that was pretty good  :tup

So they found that Fernandez was legally drunk at the time of his accident AND he had cocaine in his system.  RIP dude should have done better....

Jobu must have the Cub's bats afraid.  Hopefully Kubler has the KY ball going tonight.

Jeez....that's a friggin bummer to hear. I was really hoping that nothing 'bad' like this would be found out.....it's just like the Oscar Taveras death. Completely avaoidable had better decisions been made.

Stop with the rigged bs.

I'm joking of course, but the Cubs got what seemed like every close pitch. I mean it was bad.

To be fair Kubler got every pitch the first game where Lester didn't, but the Indians were able to get some runs.

My theory about tonight's game is that whoever wins tonight wins the series. If the Cubs have it in them to score some runs off Kubler or even score after he is taken out and are able to win it, then they have the momentum to almost certainly win the next game at Wrigley, at which point they only need to split at Cleveland (although Kubler is pitching game 7). If the Indians win, no way can the Cubs win 3 in a row.

Momentum doesn't really exist in baseball.  A great starting pitcher can lay the smackdown on any momentum a team might think they have.

True but they will have just won the game and have their ace up. I think tomorrow is very much their game to lose, but that means nothing if they don't win tonight because they aren't going to win both in Cleveland, I don't think.

The great thing is that both teams are stacked enough with young talent that this may happen again next year.

I'm rooting for the Indians because of Francona.  The Sox smeared him so badly on his way out. I am definitely not rooting against the Cubs, and really have no problem with them winning either. Though the media has totally turned me off, no Boston fan can look at that and not be transported back to 2004.
I just didn't want the Indians winning on Lester's dime. Love him too!

The whole streak thing is so overhyped.  If you're fan in your 30s or younger, I can name plenty of other franchises in the four major sports that haven't won a championship in that time span.  "Oh, but they didn't win a title for 70 years before I was born!"  BFD.

Brace yourselves!!!

Joe Buck hyperbole, 6-12 needless different camera shots between pitches of both players and fans (praying).  At least McCarver doesn't work the games anymore.

...going along with Dragon Attack's Queen thread has been like taking a free class in Queen knowledge. Where else are you gonna find info like that?!
