Couldn't think of anything worse than having to be outdoors in Summer! Having an average temperature over 30C for an entire season is brutal, and I'd rather not voluntarily turn my skin to cancery brown leather.

Thank god for the internet making outdoors obsolete!

A really good summer for us would be just over 30 degrees celsius. Which is about perfect.

When we lived in Dubai. That was as cold as it ever got

But we lived at the beach

EDIT : From Wikipedia : " The highest recorded temperature in Dubai is 52.1 °C (126 °F). "

I will never ever understand the logic of going outside to the beach in hot weather. It's like people want cancer. Hey, it's skin burningly hot, so let's expose ourselves directly to it! I went to the beach once. It was horrible. :grumpycat:

I won't even go outside for a walk if it's above 21C, which rules out Summer altogether. Anything above that is uncomfortably hot to be outside in. I'm in the wrong country for livable weather.

I'm not sure but don't you have to get badly sunburned before you are in the danger area ?

I don't burn and I keep myself covered up for the most part.

Also you don't get cancer just from being in the sun. You're more likely if you're in the sun all day every day with no sun cream on or anything.

Not like * one hour in the sun and you're dead !!!!! *

Except when I'm on the laptop with a black keyboard. I will never ever have a black keyboard for my PC. It's impractical.

No it's not. A well lit room is much better for the eyes. I just have the lights out so certain people don't see that I'm still awake at 4am.

I hate the production on a lot of modern albums for this reason. I want to hear what the bass is playing, and not just get a general sense of "there is something in those frequencies". I like older stuff where the bass isn't buried by a wall of guitars.

Lets separate modern from the bass in the front. Geddy, Lee, Chris Squire, Steve Harris to name a few from the 70's and 80's were in the front. It's not about that modern sound where every instrument sounds like one big sound. No dimension. That's what I'm talking about.

That was the sound for metal in the 80's. I hated the kick drum sound. So dull, so flat. When the Black album came out all the metalheads lost it but I loved the big, bold sound. As long as there is separation in the instruments I'm all for a bigger sound.

That wasn't the sound for metal in the 1980s. They didn't sound totally wonked, for a start.

The way the first few Metallica albums sounded like all the darker metal albums. That was the style. I know, I lived it. I wasn't impressed by the sound and it turned me away from bands for that reason. Sure other albums were worse than others but it defiantly was a conscientious style.

I wouldn't call it a style decision so much as the low budget underground thrash couldn't afford good production. Other more popular (at the time) '80s metal bands didn't sound like that.
