Good morning. I'm a lazy son of a bitch... And I've found a bus I can catch from much closer to my house that'll get me to the transfer station that usually bike to. Too bad I can only catch it on Mondays and Fridays.

Good news is hopefully in January I'll be buying a car off a friend. She has a 95(?) Civic in great shape she's gonna be getting rid of. And... She's asking close to nothing. And she'll take payments. Sweet.

Car means I can work more Overtime without getting burnt out. More OT means more money. More money means less stress. Less stress means life is good.

a. 11:30 am - start work

b. 11:30 - Noon - piece of piss. 30 minutes is really nothing.

c. Noon - 14:00 - Doddle. No matter how busy - two hours goes by in a flash.

d. 14:00 - 14:30 - See b.

I watched it earlier. For the budget (or lack thereof), it was very well put together. It did a good job of feeling like another setting, which is hard to do with so little. The CG and compositing was all great, some of the audio could have done with ADR or a better mic and some foley to take away from the home-made feel.
The story felt a little rushed and without a message, but I think that's largely because it was a lot to tell in only 20 minutes. Your bro definitely has skills though, and I hope he plans to make more short films.

I think he does want to do more films as they are more rewarding than doing music videos. Especially with all the bullshit that he has to go through trying to get payment out of labels.

Fun Fact : When the main character is talking to the girl on the ship - that's my Brother's missus and he is sitting to her right. Rich is also the voice of "io" . I designed the voice myself

I wish I had the means to do that kind of thing. It's definitely more fun having full creative control for an idea you came up with yourself.
I did notice several credits for Oakes, so I figured there was other family involved too. What's the point of family if you can't use them for cheap help?
