About a week ago they canceled Amanda Tapping for Sydney Comic-Con, then today they announced David Hewlett as a replacement. Could not have chosen a better replacement.

I have to make such a tough decision. I can only do one of these things, not both:

On October 10th,

A) Go to the FSU vs Miami football game in Tallahassee, FL.

B) Go see The Dear Hunter in Atlanta, GA.


Can't do both, as they are the same time. I've been to several FSU games over the years, as we go to about 4-5 per year. They are always so much fun, and it's one of my biggest passions, college football, specifically Florida State football. However, The Dear Hunter is becoming one of my favorite bands and I'd hate to miss the chance to see them live. I've only been to one concert ever, and that was BTBAM last year. It was a lot of fun and I'm disappointed I've missed out on so many great concert opportunities. They are touring for their new album (Act IV), which I am super excited for. I can't decide. But I have to soon because I want to make sure I can get tickets to the concert before they sell out, and I need to let my dad known ahead of time if someone needs to take my place for the FSU game. There's some risk involved, especially going to the FSU game. What if the game sucks? What if we lose? I'd really regret it then. But what if it's a classic, and I miss the damn thing?!

Good point. What I'll probably do is record the game and just tell my Dad not to tell me the results when he goes to the game so when I get back home I can watch it.

I could never watch later a game that has already happened.  If I miss it, I miss it, and catch the highlights.

I decided to take a half day today because my workload is kind of light and I wanted to start my weekend ASAP.

Just got a text from an animal hospital saying an appointment has been scheduled for 2:00.

I called my girlfriend to see what's up. Turns out both our dog and cat have pink eye. Now I get to spend my half day in a waiting room and putting another $200 on my Amex card.

Watched some TV, making a half-assed attempt at work, and messing around in Unity on my game for the first time in ages.

I'll watch the Panthers preseason game tonight.

Tomorrow I will be childless most of the afternoon, so anything could happen.  Maybe a movie, maybe a trip to the mountains.

Sunday will involve school shopping for my daughter and dinner with my brother.

Tomorrow, we're spending the entire day in the yard as weedmageddon 2015 continues.  This is what I miss about having an apartment.  I didn't have to worry about this kinda shit.  Then later, we're heading out to see a friends' acoustic duo at a place I used to play, but first, we're hitting up a historic dive that is apparently well known for their "hot-chee dog" (that's pronounced as one word, like "Chachi" from Happy Days).  They use Kessler's hot dogs, which are skinless, grilled on a flat-top.  It's then wrapped in American cheese, put in the bun, and topped with mustard, their homemade chili, and onion.  Apparently it's some sort of rite-of-passage to eat a hot-chee dog.  I'm looking forward to it.

Then Sunday, likely nursing another hangover, and likely lounging around the pool drinking more.  I turn 40 in 42 days and apparently I'm still trying to relive my 20's.

Also, I will be avoiding anything that even remotely resembles football.

Sounds like a nice day Hef! I just got back from the dentist, she gave me a 30 pill prescription for hydrocodone which I thought was a bit much but she is such an awesome and cheap dentist. I have the whole apartment to myself, no gf, no dog, no cat just silence.

The weeds this year have been unusually brutal.  Found a home-made concoction that kills them within a few hours (using it on the patio and sidewalks), but man, others just keep popping up.

Was going to stain my sub-deck, but it's raining today, an into the morning.  Won't be dry enough to do tomorrow, and then it's forecasted to rain again on Monday.  So, next weekend maybe - as I'm heading back to Phoenix Monday morning.

My body doesn't seem to be a real huge fan of me trying to relive my 20's though, that's the issue.

I will be sure to report back on my hot-chee dog experience.  I too was hoping it would be a different kind of cheese, preferably a nacho cheese sauce, but that's okay, I'm sure it will be good.
