A tad hungover this morning.  Good time yesterday at family friend's place - awesome food, couple glasses of wine, couple of tumblers of scotch - likely triple's - and my head has a slight throb.

Just finished doing some outdoor chores, got some inside work to do.  Mission Impossible I and III today, along with a few inside honey-do items.  Weather is beautiful at the moment, but rain is supposed to be on the way.

More of the same tomorrow - it's a holiday for us up here.

I had a guy this weekend quit because life is too hard outside of jail.  He's struggling to get by and wants to go back to jail.

We've got to make jail time miserable.  Can you imagine saying that?  He's a good kid too just losing himself.  I tried to get him to call our employee assistance program hotline but he made up his mind and left Saturday during his shift.

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces
