Seems the norm of late though.

I own them so that's a no go for me going to them. i just hit the theaters for new releases. with the TV's at home and the 5.1 we all have, there's less of an excitement to see re releases.

From a half-assed search, I can't find any info on it being shown here. Not sure I could drag anyone else along to watch it with me though.

I love going to re-releases. Seeing a loved film on the big screen again, the way you first encountered and loved it, is a completely different and more awesome feeling than just cueing up the DVD.

They just don't happen as much anymore.

I went to the 25th anniversary re-release of Ghostbusters. That was awesome.

It just doesn't excite me seeing old movies in the theaters again. It's the feeling of watching a sports event recorded that I know the outcome. I'm probably in the minority but it just doesn't do it for me.

That's the only reason I chose to watch it.

(even though the entire cameo was in the trailer before it came out). Not a bad movie overall either.

And a lot of people have never had the experience of seeing these movies at the cinema at all, so I think it's a great idea for these more popular films that have the demand. BTTF came out just before I was born. Damn.

Watching a movie at the cinema with a bunch of fans who love it just as much sounds like a pretty fun one-off experience compared to sitting at home and watching it the same way again.

I do but not as much as others. If I'm going to the movies it's for new releases. TV shows take up more of my life at home.

I think that last re releases I went to was Star Wars in the 90's with all the CGI added. The other pull to see it was a new theater they had close to us that had the first curved screen like the TV's now. It was huge.

I went to see BTTF on the big screen for the 25th in 2010.

It was digitally remastered. No extra footage. No walkie talkies instead of guns. No new CGI.

It was amazing ! Firstly - seeing my favourite film of all time on the big screen ( for the first time ) and all the audience laughing and cheering in all the right places

So good. * I totally didn't tear up like some kind of man baby.

I also went to see BTTF 3 in the cinema when that came out. So the only one i've not seen on the big screen is 2.

I'd love it if my local cinema showed all 3 films back to back ( to the future

). i would be there or I would Be Square !!!!

Just got off the bike, off to the farmer's market shortly, then a charity softball game... I'm just spectating though. Then Pixels with the family, capped off by an 'evening in the square' in our downtown. We have this huge LED screen and every Saturday they show family movies - Penguins of Madagascar tonight. Tuesday is retro night, and they showed Jaws last Tuesday. 'twas awesome.

Mostly a chill day tomorrow.

This Cougar Life ad on TV makes no sense at all. First of all, as if a student would forget having a teacher that hot. Secondly, the fake profile only lists her as 34, which is not a cougar.
