Mine was not so bad. Had another slight tumble yesterday. Not so bad this time. was wearing my massively padded leathers so only got a bang on my hand.

This time I actually don't know what happened... Was pulling away slowly and the bike just fell over ?! Must have been slippery under the back wheel or something...

Only damage was the ball end of the brake lever came off *again*. Picking up a new one tomorrow - luckily I had enough tips from work saved up to pay for it.

Ehhh. i think i'll stick to dry days and main roads. Back roads and wet conditions don't like me.

The guitar looks very close to the original too. Sometimes the hardware isn't quite right on them.

I know he regularly jokes about being recognized mainly for that, but I didn't realize he actually avoided it. That's a shame. While I realize as an actor you don't want to be only known for something you did 25-30 years ago, I'd still love to have had such a lasting impact on so many people like that. And if you're popular in scifi/fantasy, you're basically set for life for conventions.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking of when I said he jokes about it. From that, you wouldn't get the sense he didn't want anything to do with it, otherwise you'd think he'd avoid it altogether. It's like having your cake and eating it too (which is silly, because why would anyone want cake if not to eat it?).

Christopher Eccelston, who played the 9th Doctor in Doctor Who, is really bad for not wanting to be associated with that part. He always looks so awkward and defensive about it in interviews.

While we're on the subject of Back To The Future and it's 30th anniversary ( Happy Birthday !! )

Back To The Future Part II may be my least favourite of the three - but I saw it in 1990 and I would have been 11 years old - and even then i didn't think the plot was hard to understand.

I remember when it came out - a lot of people were like " I don't get it ".

It's interesting when I watch scifi with other people, and they won't get some basic scifi concept that is just second nature to me at this point due to all of the scifi I watch, and they'll ask a question about something that I take for granted as very simple.
I remember the time I watched some documentary on time travel done by Stephen Hawking, and found it boring and predictable because I'd learned it all from scifi already.

But I don't know of anyone who found the BTTF hard to understand. It has plenty of inconsistencies and problems, but people just accept them.

I feel like I haven't posted here in a long time. I realize it hasn't been that long, but it feels like heaps of time. I've realized how real time dilation is. Like, two years of absence, and it feels like no time has passed at all. A few days go by, and it's like the whole world has changed.

Having the option or not probably makes a difference. Like, when you physically can't post, it slips to the back of your mind because it's not a priority, but when you're able to but don't, you're thinking about doing it.

I had a hot chocolate at the beachfront cafe earlier. I like going there because :

i. I can park my bike for free.
ii. It's a nice ride to get there
iii. They have amazing cake & coffee
iv. Their Hot Chocolate is served with cream, a chocolate flake and marshmallows
v. The waitresses are easy on the eye
vi. oh go on then - the waiters are sexy too

I just silently put a basil leaf into my hamster's cage while she was fast asleep, and the scent of it actually woke her up haha. She was out of the hamster bedroom within ten seconds flat to find it.

That poor hamster.   Their sense of smell is way greater than ours.  My cats can find a bag of cat food in seconds.  If we leave it out for a few minutes they will try to dig through the bag to the food.  Little buggers.
