Not fun :(

I've been riding for over ten years now but last year I went to visit my friend for a little day trip. She lives 3 hours away. I saw some storm clouds forming and I told her that I better get going to beat the weather. As I enter the highway I realize I was disoriented and that I'm heading towards the rain instead of away.

I drove through a torrential downpour, 10 miles with zero exits and no over passes, I was soaked but I made it through.

Riding through rain is something else, you have to be super careful but it's fun in a different way.

I guess it's ok if you're covered in waterproofing. The main problem is extremely poor visibility and trying to stay the hell away from all other vehicles in case you have to brake suddenly like I did.

Good evening peeps.


It's been an interesting one.

Just as I was started the 2 hour drive to take Panda to the airport, I received a call from someone to inform me that my mother had been arrested.

I had no other details.

I spent the ENTIRE FUCKING DRIVE on the phone with the jail, and with several different local Police Departments looking for my mother. There was no record of her anywhere.

Finally I got a message out to the department that I think arrested her... and a few hours (as I am heading back home), I receive a call from an officer who explained what happened. I won't go into details but she should be out and free later tonight.

I was so damn worried I was in tears. Seriously. Not that she was arrested, but over the fact that I couldn't reach her... If she wasn't in the jail, tht meant she was out without her car... not answering the phone... which isn't an issue normally but my mother is.. not completely mentally balanced. She has anxiety issues and panic issues (same shit I deal with personally every day. She just never learned HOW to deal with it)... I was afraid that she had gotten hurt or hurt herself.

All is well now though.

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Yeah it kinda sucks when you get the bus to work because it's hammering it down then it completely clears up and you have to get the bus home in the gorgeous weather.

But at least I don't have to get all kitted out to take the bus...
