The warmest day we've got for the next week is 20C, being the middle of Winter. Absolutely nobody in this country would be near a beach at 15C. People in Australia seem to think that's fireplace weather. Which is ridiculous. First of all because it hardly gets cold enough to even need a fireplace in this country, and secondly because that's still not a good reason to pump smokey shit from your chimney that I have to smell. Bunch of pansys.

Which would be somewhat acceptable in your climate! For comparison, I see people here use their fireplace once it hits 19C (66F). Today was about 14C (57F), which is about as cold as the max temp gets during Winter here. Would you use a fireplace in that weather?
