Hey everyone. Just been to see the bike i'm going to be owning as of next week. My first set of wheels for legal road use !!!

Any petrol heads in ? it's a Yamaha SR 125 :) Black.

Doing my Compulsory Basic Training on Monday then should be ready to drive it as soon as I get insured ! :D

Congrats on the bike!

Just looked it up online and it looks like a nice cruiser. I've been riding for about 12 years now and I currently have a Yamaha R6S.

Is this your first bike?

It will be my first bike for legal road use. Had a "scrambler" before this for bombing around on our farm and before that I had a teeny PW50 when i was 9 years old :D

I think the scrambler was a Suzuki 125 ER ??? Don't quote me on that. I'm not a bike guy. My dad is.

My Dad has been on bikes for decades. His current one is a "TDM" ? Can't remember the make. Maybe a Yamaha too.

But yeah - getting around will be so much fun - i've always wanted to but getting a car on the road is just £2,000 minimum...

Wow that's really expensive. I like the rules over there though. You have a graduated license right?

Here you pay $125 for a motorcycle endorsement and then you are free to buy the fastest bike that you can afford.

I'm not really sure myself. I know getting on a bike on the road is almost a doddle compared to getting a car on the road.

What with - lessons - hazard tests, practical tests, theory tests...Buying the car, getting it MOT'd, Insured, Road Tax then petrol and maintenance... It's just ridiculous.

AFAIK - For a 125 cc bike - it's one day of lessons - then insurance and MOT and off you go.

Also - I *think* I only need a provisional drivers licence to ride a 125 on the road ?

A provisional will let you drive a car if it's small enough, not very powerful, and an experienced driver is in the passenger seat and you can't go on motorways.

My daughter is staying with me for the weekend.     This is the first full weekend I've had with her since I moved out.  I bought us both enough to last the weekend.

Fucking Grimm, man. I knew things would start getting good.
It seemed pretty obvious to me from the start who the killer was, but we'll see.

Well, the funeral went well.  No one broke down.  It was a good remembrance of times past.  And the song went off without a hitch.  My wife is a champ.

Today my brother comes to town for a visit, and it is definitely Age of Ultron time.

My girlfriend loves Grimm so I started watching it with her this season and now I'm hooked. I don't know much backstory but Juliette is fucking crazy.

Morning. I'm in Pennsylvania so I'll have to watch it during the week.  Spock's Beard was awesome last night.

That would be the end of last season. That was great stuff. Last season was maybe my favourite overall, although I haven't rewatched any of the show since first seeing it.

i'm staying at my Grandads in Wales and he's away on holiday for two weeks and he has no neighbours - so today I recorded vocals on one of my songs.

Pretty happy with the results.  :)

Didn't even need pitch correction !

Just saw the last band at RoSfest.   Had a hell of a time.  Now, 6 hours of sleep and 8 hours driving to get home.

Ktwboy.... give me a ride to work
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces
