Just looked it up online and it looks like a nice cruiser. I've been riding for about 12 years now and I currently have a Yamaha R6S.

It will be my first bike for legal road use. Had a "scrambler" before this for bombing around on our farm and before that I had a teeny PW50 when i was 9 years old

I think the scrambler was a Suzuki 125 ER

Don't quote me on that. I'm not a bike guy. My dad is.

My Dad has been on bikes for decades. His current one is a "TDM" ? Can't remember the make. Maybe a Yamaha too.

But yeah - getting around will be so much fun - i've always wanted to but getting a car on the road is just £2,000 minimum...

Wow that's really expensive. I like the rules over there though. You have a graduated license right?

Here you pay $125 for a motorcycle endorsement and then you are free to buy the fastest bike that you can afford.

I'm not really sure myself. I know getting on a bike on the road is almost a doddle compared to getting a car on the road.

What with - lessons - hazard tests, practical tests, theory tests...Buying the car, getting it MOT'd, Insured, Road Tax then petrol and maintenance... It's just ridiculous.

AFAIK - For a 125 cc bike - it's one day of lessons - then insurance and MOT and off you go.

Also - I *think* I only need a provisional drivers licence to ride a 125 on the road ?

A provisional will let you drive a car if it's small enough, not very powerful, and an experienced driver is in the passenger seat and you can't go on motorways.

Well, the funeral went well. No one broke down. It was a good remembrance of times past. And the song went off without a hitch. My wife is a champ.

Today my brother comes to town for a visit, and it is definitely Age of Ultron time.
