That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Today is going to be another long day but good day at work. We have a new guy training, whom I feel really good about. My work load is tiny compared to how much I was dealing with daily from Friday-Monday... And the biggest pain in the ass employee I usually have to deal with has started turning himself around. I'm proud of the kid.

This is my last week on the night shift and since the change occurs Saturday, I have a short week.  I'm off today and tomorrow.  I work Thursday and Friday morning.  Then I'm off Saturday and Sunday for the new schedule. I go back to days starting Monday.  I'll be working 7 - 3.

Yes and no. I'll be given assignments to do in the field but I can just take all day and hang out in the city until they need me more something else.
