I just now made it through to the end of disc 1. Being slightly intoxicated doesn't hurt, I guess normally I would have put it off somewhere in the middle of the title track. I still really like Lunacy but this kind of music overall is just too dragged out for me, my attention span can't handle it.

I had to turn this off during the second song. I found it incredibly bad.

It's because you shouldn't actively listen to it, but rather let its repetitive nature put you into a state of trance, and just flow with it. I enjoy it the most when doing somethingelse that iit's pretty mechanical, like cleaning the dishes or while working out, so only half my mind is on the music.

And the second disc I think it's a bit more accessible and atmospheric, so don't give up on it  :tup

Oh I will, just not today. I'll literally fall asleep if I do, and that's not me trying to diss the album, I'm just very tired  :lol

what i like about these guys is that every album is just its own thing, the postman syndrome doesn't sound like this and east of the wall doesn't sound like this.

this is like the least metal of any of their releases but that just lets the melodic elements shine through bright. i dig it.

I am so glad I discovered this band today. They are awesome and it's nice to see modern bands continuing that space prog/psychedelic sound.

rym lists this as:
-progressive
-black
-death
-sludge
-groove
metal.

what i get from this is a band that hasn't quite found their sound, but it's enjoyable to listen to their experiments. hyped for their upcoming album too because i know it won't be anything like this one  :corn

Metallica - Reload

What??

Well, I really like Load.  But Reload.. not so much.  Just trying to give it a third and fourth chance before I completely dismiss it.

Reload is so bad. Load has some great tunes. Reload has Fuel. That's it.

Well just OK compared to their classic material, but I think it's head and shoulders better than anything else on that album and half of Load.

This. I reallt like Load, but I actually wish I never bought Reload, The Unforgiven II is the only song from that album I really really like, that's pretty harsh for one of my all time favorite bands.
