more black metal. this is just... alright, i guess, mostly i find it a little dull? dunno. folkier black metal seems to be the kind i get the most out of.
i feel like this will be the kind of genre where i have a few albums from it i really dig a lot and i'll get all i need out of the genre from those few albums. post-rock is a lot the same to me, i haven't really bothered to search out new post-rock in a while because i have all the albums i really need from the genre.

this is quite good. Limbs kinda feels like one of the weaker tracks actually, but i could be totally wrong, a lot of this left a good first impression though for sure. probably will try listening to the mantle in full since i never did

Great stuff, Despite the Shell is still my fave, but The Pattern and Joy come really close, and I'm not even through the first disc yet!  ;D

stealing this image.
i think both discs of this are pretty good but it's a lot to take in on one listen, probably will end up getting both eventually though, i think it deserves it.

this looked interesting so i put it on my listening list and got around to it just now.
was digging this at first, especially her vocals, which are consistently great and intense, but the album ends up feeling a little one-note and tedious by the end, or at least it did to me on first listen. may check this out further though.

seriously though wow she's a great vocalist. not like technically the best and a few times sounds like she misses notes but i can't deny the power behind her vocals, whether clean or harsh or halfway inbetween

So after disliking stoner in general and this band for quite some time, it has now clicked - I'm quite enjoying this album. I think you'd dig it, Parama :P

already gave this a listen some months back, don't remember it too much but i don't remember being too into it on first listen, though it was alright i think?  :lol
demon cleaner was in guitar hero since basically everything's been in guitar hero at some point and i dig that song tho. i'll probably revisit this eventually.

folky black metal seems to be my favorite. this is pretty solid, though the first track is uncomfortably agalloch-y and probably the weakest, also it's like a third of the album on its own. the rest is pretty good though.

this is actually pretty solid and diverse as a whole
it's a shame the one track off it i was sent is quite easily my least favorite... the rest are a bit pos-y i guess but not the pos-worship of the last track  :lol

some pretty nice, relatively soft post-metal. sax adds a bit of unique flavor to it too.
not high on the list of post-metal stuff i want to get quite yet though
