an obscure roulette and chat thread/ R9 results! Guess what!

ROUND 7

This round is again a mix of writing and picking a song..... you'll be assessed on both aspects.... It's quite a broad theme if you consider this a theme at all:

What you can send me:

a) a band which you dig for its particular member:

e.g. "Porcupine Tree - Gavin Harrison .. here's his epic performance at ...... I think the thing that destroys me about him is the jazzy touch he employs... I remember one time, he did this and that.."

(if you go for this option, you're allowed to send me as many songs as you want!)

OR


b) a song which you dig for its particular part.....

e.g. "I dig Jacob's Ladder especially for those crying guitars..... that part literally sorts me out, bangs me up, tears me apart..... because this and that..."

I welcome both technical aspects and personal stories
(obviously one song only)


OR


c) a band which you dig for their usage of one particular instrument....
 
preferably something uncommon, unusual... you know, sth like "I like Dream Theater because they are playing the guitar very well" wouldn't cut it ... unless it's a unique, peculiar style - say, using a fiddlestick to play the guitar, playing a banjo solo in the middle of a rock song, etc...

(again you can send however many you want for this option)
