I know a guy in town who owns a computer/electronic repair shop. He's an authorized Microsoft dealer. He has 2 Xbox Ones sitting in his shop. One of them already doesn't work.

My friends and I already decided we'll be a support group and keep to the PS3 until the 2nd gen of the PS4 are released to avoid all that mess.

I don't plan to get back into consoles, but out of all the pros I'm seeing as a PC gamer, one of them is that if there's something wrong with my PC, I can almost always fix it myself and/or worst-comes-to-worst, buy a new part. Even if I were to buy a console again, it definitely wouldn't be anytime soon...after this last generation started, the whole 'launch day' bonanza seemed to dull a bit what with hoards of angry gamers damning MS and Sony for releasing faulty products.

Granted, it does indeed suck a big ole bowl of dicks having to wait for a PC release. But I'm all for the wait if it means an even more optimized version. I have no doubt my new behemoth will play it at max settings once it's released and boy oh boy...I cannot wait to see how it looks and plays. I'm trying to stay away from too many spoilers, but I never was one to play GTA for the story, despite the fact that I'm hearing this one is pretty grandiose and hilarious.

:lol Good to know, I'm replaying IV to bade my impatience, but I have literally never watched a cutscene. I mean, this is the third time I've played through the game, and I still don't know what the hell I'm doing the things I'm doing for. Nor do I care. If V can make me care...that'll be jaw-dropping.

I always watch the cutscenes, even though in IV they were painfully unpleasant. A lot of the cutscenes in 5 are just plain awesome; see the Mexican standoff for example.

Despite who Trevor kills, the his first scenes are fucking awesome in a psychotic badass kind of way. Specifically the "Hey there, cowboy! Do you mind that I fucked your lady? Oh, you don't because you're a DEAD man and the only sentient part of you left is stuck to the bottom of my boot?!" speech he gives.  :lol

When he later conversed with the bit of brain on his shoe really cracked me up. Probably a continuation of the same (first) mission.

Tonight I busted into the army base and stole a jet.

This thing is badass.
Working on that myself. Cased the place, but my first attempt at breaking in failed terribly. Made a perfect parachute landing on the hangar from FL300, but alarms went off the second I touched down. Ensuing gunfight ended badly. Planning a second strategy now. Figure I could just assault the place, but I want to find a stealth option.

So are we starting a DTF crew?

Edit: Fuck it, I'll organize it unless someone else would prefer to. Post or PM your rockstar profile names/XBL names and we'll get this shit in the works.

So we need to decide:

Crew name (full). Obviously the tag is DTF?
Crew color
Crew motto

I think I'm going to break down and get this game.  It will be only the second GTA game I didn't buy on launch day (GTA 1 in 1997 being the other), but I probably only got halfway through GTA IV (only one I never beat), and honestly the desire to go back and beat it has never surfaced.  But this thread is making me want to play GTA V.  Damn you guys.

Once you started on GTA V, I highly doubt you will ever go back and play GTA IV. GTA IV ain't a bad game, per se; yet it feels like there are something missing, especially after playing GTA V now. It is just me, I can see myself going back to play GTA SA and VC before I would touch GTA IV again though.  :hat

omg... I haven't had any interest in GTA (except fucking around in VC and SA years ago) but this thread is making me want to maybe possibly look into getting this.

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Seriously R*, WTF? I just came outside to find my submarine parked in the street in front of the Vinewood safehouse. Am I supposed to buy a helicopter to transport the thing back to water?

Yeah, me too. I'm doing like a mission or 2 a night. With GTA IV, I completed the story in about 2 days of marathon sessions and I'm glad I'm taking my time now.

So I just picked up my first hooker and I don't know how they got that past the MSRB, because hot coffee got SA an adult rating and this makes hot coffee look like nothing.

I just finished the mission where Franklin follows the guys into the woods with Chop. They swerve off the road and you need to find them with the thermal cam. I shit you not, I saw big foot. I'm being completely serious. I zoomed all the way in thinking it was a human, and it was fucking Bigfoot.
