So far it seems to be doing better in the charts than BC&SL did, even with album sales dowsn. This is good new and, quite franklly, not unexpected. Looking forward to the results in the US where there has been no shortage to buy and traveling to get to it.

17# in Australia. BC&SL did 16# (but it means nothing as far as we don't have numbers)

Hey, that's cool. :tup
I'd forgotten that BCASL had cracked top 20 here. I was thinking it was slightly out. It would have been nice to see it get higher this time around, but it's still good.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

So far, official numbers according to Wikipedia (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A_Dramatic_Turn_of_Events#Charts):
Australian Albums Chart - 17
Dutch Albums Chart - 2
Polish Albums Chart - 38
UK Albums Chart - 17

Comparing to the peak positions of BC&SL:
Australian Albums Chart - 16
Dutch Albums Chart - 3
Polish Albums Chart - 4
UK Albums Chart - 23

On another note, I don't know the official numbers yet, but right now ADTOE is the 5# most sold album on the biggest entertainment store here in Portugal (https://www.fnac.pt/Os-mais-vendidos/l1719?SID=096d7269-fe9d-cefe-96da-f85c32a3d861&UID=0C36E79F6-E8F6-00D6-B65C-79BD1838859B&Origin=FnacAff&OrderInSession=1&TTL=210920112341&bl=HGMUpdd). Considering that the peak position for BC&SL here was 14#, I take this as a very good sign.

Or maybe Poland had an incident like Canada did, where ADTOE was nowhere to be found. lol.

This is a much better album than BCASL, it should sell much better. But also take into account that the economic situation in 2009 was better than now.

Where are you guys seeing DT as being #8 in the U.S.?  I just checked the Billboard site and there's nothing about ADTOE....

Not bad at all, especially given some of the distribution problems people were mentioning.  So, that means they sold 4 1/2 times as many albums as Queensryche during the first week.

I don't know the exact workings of how Billboard does their thing, but I'm pretty sure pre-orders are included.  If it's like other industries (such as book sales) pre-orders are counted as sales on the first day of release.
