It
No love for GA2 :'(

That's my favorite Coheed album and the one that actually got me into the band.

Its ok. I sold my disc. For some reason it didn't feel like they wanted to make it. Although it has great songs.

GUYS

AUDIO SAMPLES

HOLY FUCK I AM smileING EVERYWHERE

I'm really excited for The Afterman, Goodnight Fair Lady, Holly Wood the Cracked, Vic the Butcher, and Subtraction.  Honestly, the only one I got a lukewarm feeling for was Mother of Men.  Afterman and Subtraction sound like spiritual successors to PFI, and more PFI is a great thing.

So yeah this album should definitely be better than the last two, I think.

WOAH these are awesome. Some very interesting sounding things... I hope Claudio uses more of his higher range in the songs, these samples don't show a lot of it.

So I think Junesong Provision is my favorite Coheed song right now.  Let me check again just to be sure.

Yup, pretty sure it is.

I saw that live when they opened for Maiden. It got a huge crowd response.

Blood Red Summer is actually my least favorite Coheed song. I've grown to tolerate Mother Superior.

Take out Made Out of Nothing and it becomes a perfect setlist.

Fix'd.

Out of all the songs on that set, I've yet to see Blood Red Summer, Gravemakers, Domino, and the Final cut.  Hopefully they at least play Domino when I see them again on Sunday!  They're playing the Weenie Roast in Charlotte with a bunch of other bands (Offspring, Garbage, Switchfoot, Anberlin, to name a few).  Plus they have an autograph/meet n greet time.  I'm psyched!

And on the subject of covers, here are a few more that I like a lot:

Red Rain: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7UVAwQA_3Y

The Final Cut is the worst song in that set by a long way. Replace it with The Telling Truth and add FFTTEOM and The Crowing and you've got a perfect set.

I think The Suffering is the worst song on that set list by far actually, it's one of the few Coheed songs that I don't care for at all. Otherwise, it's a great set list...  :tup

Had to listen to some Cvmslvt to remember there is brutal music in the world.

I like the song musically, but the vocals don't really fit the song to me.

Not really sure what to think of the new track. It follows one of the most epic Coheed songs to date so it's kind of in a place of harsh judgement. Hopefully it just makes more sense in context with the whole album and that it eventually grows.

I spent $70 on the boxset, I better get my money's worth of love for it.

The Afterman is about Mary, Sirius' wife, dealing with him leaving on his mission. The way the vocals are produced is to represent Mary and Sirius' distance apart, through a phone and a TV screen.
