Are you gonna tell me he didn't put The Ultimate Warrior over?  Or The Undertaker (who was still kind of a weird heel until he beat Hogan for the title and became a bigger star)?
Yes.

What about Randy Savage at WM V?  Everyone in the world knew that Hogan was gonna win that match, but Savage came out of it looking as good as an ex-champion can possibly look.
Because Savage was 10 times the wrestler that Hogan was.

He also worked programs, for example, with up-and-comers like Big Boss Man and Curt Hennig (who went on to have two long I-C title reigns after his feud with Hogan), instantly elevating them in stature in the WWF.
Big Boss Man was a loser.  Hennig was an all-time great.  I don't think Hogan "put over" either one of them.
Hef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

Well, Vince took an F5, makes me feel a bit better for having a part-time champion.

Did he really break his pelvis or is that part of the storyline?

Also, when did they start censoring pay per views?

Ultimately, this injury is probably a work, allowing the company a chance to write Mr. McMahon off of TV and bring back Triple H to avenge his father-in-law.

Yep, that's probably right.

And I guess you're speaking about Rock's "shit" and "fuck" being censored, well it's a family show now, remember.

Why have Rock say punk ass bitch over and over if they're just going to censore it becaue it's a family show?

Pretty much.

It was all about making sure that the majority would be rooting for Rock throughout that match. When they announced that Rock was getting the title shot, Punk was more over as a face than anyone has been in years. So they went to work completely sabotaging Punk's character, making him go heel and suddenly unable to beat people without cheating.

Which is funny because when Rock call Punk out the week before the Rumble, instead of doing the cowardly heel move of not going to the ring, Punk just rushed him! And then he didn't last night which was disappointing.

Well, yeah! There's no doubt he's great on the mic.

By comparison, Cena's promo last night was the equivalent of a squash match. You know the outcome, you just have to sit through a lot of posturing first.

That was my guess too, but it sure looked like Vince didn't land right after being F5'd.

Well he did land on his side. I don't think Lesnar has ever performed an F5 properly since the first time he did it.

Back to the censoring, I don't think it's fair to censor a PPV when customers are paying $60 for them just because it's PG. Being a PPV, it's up to the parent whether or not they let their kids watch it because PPVs usually mean anything goes cause it's not on cable.

Well, Vince can't even sell a Stunner right, so I'm not surprise he landed awkwardly on the F5.

Damn old fool. Linda still takes the cake as the worst seller ever. I know the wrestlers doing the moves are trying to be gentle, but she doesn't ever try. You'd think a woman married to a wrestling promoter would be more into it.

Kane's tombstone to her is still hilarious.

Predictable Rumble, glad I never stayed up or bought it. I also called Brock to return when I heard Vince was evaluating Heyman. My prediction now is that Vince chooses Undertaker not HHH to face Brock.

Some fantasy booking of a few WM29 matches:

---

The Rock v John Cena v CM Punk

Del Rio v Orton

Undertaker v Brock Lesnar (some gimmick/hardcore match)

AJ v Kaitlyn

Cody Rhodes v Goldust

---

Just a few predictions of some seeds that have been planted.

The Rock vs John Cena

Bathroom break (Divas Match)

The Undertaker vs Cm Punk

HHH vs Brock Lesnar

Randy Orton vs Sheamus (World title match)

Ryback and 2 other upper mid carders vs The Shield

Antonio Cesaro vs The Miz (Would be better if it was Chris Hero)

Kane+Daniel Bryan vs Sin Cara and Rey Mysterio

Dolph Ziggler vs Chris Jericho

The top 4 matches are pretty much set in stone by WWE. The bottom 4 matches seem like the most likely route they will take. But really they're irrelevant matches so it doesn't matter what they do.

Where on earth is the Undertaker? I miss him being a regular. He's been showing up just for some epic WM match once a year.
"All great works are prepared in the desert, including the redemption of the world. The precursors, the followers, the Master Himself, all obeyed or have to obey one and the same law. Prophets, apostles, preachers, martyrs, pioneers of knowledge, inspired artists in every art, ordinary men and the Man-God, all pay tribute to loneliness, to the life of silence, to the night." - A. I am not sure why everyone is just assuming that Undertaker vs Punk at WM is a given.

The way Cena talked the other day, I have a suspicion the Rock/Punk rematch will be mired in controversy, to where the WM main event becomes a triple threat match: Punk vs Rock vs Cena.  Punk deserves a high profile match at WM, not being stuck in some silly feud match with the Shield or Ryback or something like that.

If Undertaker really is too broken down to wrestle this year, then I think HHH/Lesnar now goes without saying.  I suspect they would like to have done Undertaker/Lesnar if possible, but with 'Taker hurt, they can just slide HHH back into that spot and let him get revenge for his loss and for the attack on Vince.

- Vince McMahon is legitimately having surgery done on his left hip soon. Vince has had a bad hip for some time now. The storyline injury from Brock Lesnar was done as a reason to take off for the surgery.

Which doesn't make sense since if we're following continuity (which why I am doing this to wrestling?) he isn't suppose to have ANY power to fire people or anything like that, Triple H removed him from power last year...

So basically, there's not storyline reason needed for him to take time off.

Vince thinks his viewers are stupid (and many would argue most of them are since they are watching wrestling in the first place :lol).  They aren't supposed to remember anything.  I mean, Ric Flair coming back should have meant him getting revenge on Randy Orton, since the last time Flair was seen on WWE TV was Orton punting him in the head inside the cage on RAW back in the spring of '09, but again, no one is supposed to remember anything.  Kind of like how Vince's character goes back and forth between face and heel depending on the situation.

Speaking of that Orton/Flair fight, that was Orton as his heel best.  The way he gets in the face of Batista right after he punts Flair was awesome (5:00 of the clip below):

Well Vince addressed and ended that storyline the next night after Benoit killed himself and his family.

But I've been saying that for years. Vince thinks the audience has the minds of goldfish and forget past storylines and gimmicks like Katie Vick and Amercan Badass Taker (or Taker in general) and rivalries.

It was awesome to see Shawn Michaels poke fun at the Katie Vick thing on Raw years ago.
